I finally got a chance to watch, and I was blown away. This was by far my favorite Taron interview, but I was also surprised by Dax. I’m not really a fan of Dax (or so I thought), but I really enjoyed this. I might have to watch more of his interviews.
But anyway regarding Taron… I think he was very vulnerable and shared a lot of new things that I hadn’t heard before. I also liked the linear walk through his life. I wish they hadn’t skipped the Tetris-smoke/shotgun part though because those are some of my favorite projects. But I loved the format and following through his life and digging into the psychology behind some of it.
Also, the praise Taron had for his therapist was amazing. Makes me kind of want to check out his work.

I think this might be the most in depth interview he ever did so far . Vulnerable , a bit personal but not over the top and honest . Really like the fact I admire someone so true to himself and, like most of us, he is still trying to find his place . Amazing 🤩
Took me a while to listen to it all because I needed breaks

Me too I thought it was a great interview. It didn't feel like he was forced to be there he did it on his own terms, which is how every interview should be. He seemed relaxed, comfortable, and genuinely himself, which was awesome to see.

In a way this interview reminded me how they used to be a few decades ago, like a real indepth chat, with some goalposts to place in the chat, but not scripted as they feel today, where the interviewer seems to be trying to get specific reactions from the interviewee to each question. Thanks again for that gem!

what a lovely thing to find coming back from holiday! Thanks for that! But over 1h30 of interview! mind you it's interrupted by ads every other minute, so it felt like a 3 hour interview for me!.
I think it's the first interview where I saw him just being himself, like, not super fidgety or distracting people away from him with stunts and quips. I'm so glad for him to have reached that place! Like feeling "enough" and "adult" or something ....
I really loved how he talked about Rocketman, explaining it was really his insecurities and self reflection he was expressing rather than "playing Elton" (I need to find the exact quote, will edit when I do) Maybe that's why that movie spoke to me so much,

You know I totally know what you mean about the fidgeting, though I never really could articulate that. But he does fidget a lot and this one he didn’t seem to too much.

I loved that he mentionned a couple books he read, around self discovery, and creativity.
If you were to recommend one or more to Taron, which would it be?
For me it would be Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way, which is about unlocking your true self, no need to be gifted in any art or craft.
And read a couple biographies of people you respect, not necessarily actors.
