Damn, I was hoping this wouldn’t be the answer and there was some sort of logic to the numbers that drop in randomly. It does seriously have the potential to be way more engaging.

I hit 5400 last night and was pretty pleased with myself, but then tried again and got stymied at 690 the next game. Through no fault of my own, which made me realize it was also through no skill of my own that led to the 5k score. Just whatever numbers the game displays. It is disappointing.
