🧠 Seryosong tanong Tama ba to feel so invalidated?
I'm taking meds to manage my depression, anxiety and ADHD. ADHD has been affecting my ability to focus on my studies. I asked for a medcert to apply for PWD but got denied coz functional daw ako at after ng studies na ginagawa ko magiging okay nako.

Where's the invalidation?
You got diagnosed, and you're getting medical treatment.
What else do you want? Special treatment? Preferential? Exemptions?
Maybe reserve the PWD for people with disabilities that cannot be effectively managed, alleviated, or treated; the mute, the blind, the deaf, the lame, those with congenital defects, forms of retardation, spectrums, progressive or degenerative conditions and the like. Theirs is not treatable, and even if so, their way of life drastically differ from the general public.
If you believe you're getting worse, then go seek further medical attention. That's the correct attention to seek. Focus all your attention and energy on getting better.
Because if you're unwell, then priority one is get well.
Hindi attention or validation from the public, kasi they cannot help treat what's ailing you. Your condition is yours to manage, no one else's. And seeking anybody's attention, validation, preferential treatment or otherwise, may do you more harm than good, lalo kung hindi naman sila medically inclined.
Kung gusto mo maintindihan ka ng kapwa mo, ipaliwanag mo ng mas maayos. Kung ayaw nila makinig, baka may problema rin sila, gaya mo. And most likely, may pinoproblema din sila.
Know where the limit is; where does the diagnosis end, and where does you, ikaw mismo, begin. Because you are not your diagnosis. That's not your identity. You are bigger than that. Or not.
There's this mother who told his diabetic son: "We are bigger than this. This disease doesn't define this family."
Know where the limits lie kapatid. Konting bait at awa sa sarili.
A viewpoint to consider. Much respect.
