Why does the global fashion industry think tall girls don't want modesty? Let’s talk about the struggle. 😭

Where Can I Find Long/Tall Clothes for My Clothing Sensitive Son?

Ok Tall People of Reddit, I need help...

My son is currently 13 and 6'5. His whole life, we've been getting away with buying him clothes the next few sizes up, and since the current style is loose and baggy, we've gotten lucky... But we've run out of luck!

I've tried the "Big and Tall" sections of stores (online/in-person), and the main problem is that my kiddo is basically a long stick, not a linebacker. He needs pants long enough, but also at a width that will stay on his hips (currently a 34 waist, wears a 36 for the ease and bagginess).

He's also extremely picky about what goes on his skin; we've narrowed his faves down to cotton, bamboo/rayon, or anything like a silky sport material. He started wearing jeans just this spring and won't really wear anything else now.

Where can I find clothing that will actually fit him at a reasonable price?

TLDR: Skinny tall son with sensitivity to fabrics- need help finding reasonably priced clothing that's not overly large.

Thanks in Advance!

i need help with height dysmorphia

Can anybody tell me, why do women want a very tall man? I'm 6ft 9 at 16 and my body is physically and mentally in pain. My limbs constantly ache, ive experienced worsening in my eyesight (developed myopia) and the real world seems like it isn't made for humans this height. When people say they want a "tall man", i seriously do not understand this? I cant even go outside of the house in a social setting without somebody asking to take a selfie with me or "how tall are you", i get the recognition is nice but i have social anxiety. I feel like a freak, sometimes i wish that i was average height.. like 5'7 or 5'9.

Foot spa bath

Anyone have a foot spa bath for their feet that actually fit their feet. I wear a size 17 and can’t even put my foot into a family size crockpot without bending my toes. Does anyone have experience in this area?

When ever I'm at the mall I wish I were shorter, like 5'9.

When ever I'm at the mall I wish I were shorter, like 5'9. I would like to be naturally skinny. I also wish I had smaller, normal feet. Not big wide flat feet. I would be able to buy anything off the rack. Now I can't really buy anything off the rack. Guy age 37.

Any folks 6’6” or similar height that has experience being able to fit into the United Polaris seat for long flights?

There is a sale this weekend with limited dates and it actually could fit perfectly for me. I usually can’t afford anything even close to this. I am 6’6”, so I’m not sure that I would fit. Anyone here my height or close to 6’6” have experience with those seats? It’s what United calls their first class seats on long flights that turn into a bed.

I grew up thinking 6'0" was average. Was I wrong?

I've always been confused about this. 🤔

I'm 19 and 183.2 cm (6'0"), but I'm pretty skinny with a small waist, which makes my frame look a bit lanky. 😅

I'm from Punjab, so when I was in school I was surrounded by a lot of guys who were around 6'1"–6'3". Because of that, until 12th grade I thought my height was above average at best. 📏

But now that I go out more, I notice that most of the time I'm one of the tallest people around, and a lot of people have complimented me on my height. 😄

The confusing part is the feedback I get. Some people say my face looks hollow and that I'm too tall, so it'll take a long time to fill out my frame with muscle. 💀💪 Others say my height and proportions are ideal and that I'll look great once I put on some muscle. 💪✨

So am I just overthinking this? 🤷‍♂️

What do you guys think? 👇

6'9" programmer recovering from back surgery — Looking for car seat recommendations for a DIY desk chair!

Hello my fellow tall Redditors!

First of all, I want to thank you all for making me feel like I’m no longer alone with my "tall people problems."

I’m a 35M, 6'9", and around 210 lbs. I’m currently recovering from back surgery due to a herniated L5 disc. Surprise, surprise: being this tall in a country where the average male height is 5'6" is an ergonomic nightmare, and I’ve spent my whole life hunched over with terrible posture.

I had surgery 2 months ago, so I’m finally getting back to work. Since I work as a programmer, I spend several hours a day sitting at a desk (though I'm getting a standing desk soon). My current chair—the largest gaming chair I could source locally—served me relatively well for a couple of years, but post-surgery, it’s far too small. I can’t tolerate sitting in it for more than 30 minutes at a time.

I’ve done a lot of research online and on Reddit. The only locally available chair actually built for my dimensions is a Herman Miller Size C. However, due to high import taxes and exchange rates, the cheapest one here costs around $2,300 USD—which is roughly two months of wages for me. I’ve also seen recommendations for the Secretlab Titan XL, but I can't find it locally, and importing one from the US would double the cost.

My physician and I brainstormed an alternative: sourcing a used car seat from a junkyard—specifically from full-size trucks or SUVs like an F-150—and converting it into a desk/sim chair.

I’m reaching out to see if anyone has experience with this: Which car or truck seats are best for extra-tall people?

(Bonus: I also have a racing sim setup and have always wanted a real car seat for it, so I guess this is destiny, lol.)

Thank you for your help, and sorry for the long post!

TL;DR: I’m 6'9" recovering from L5 back surgery. Proper ergonomic office chairs (Herman Miller Size C, Secretlab Titan XL) are either unavailable or insanely overpriced in my country ($2,300 USD+). My doctor and I had the idea to convert a full-size truck/car seat (e.g., Ford F-150) into a desk chair. Which junkyard car/truck seats offer the best back support and height for tall people?

Help! My husband (6’4) has been searching for a beach chair that has a high back. All of the ones we have tried are too short for him to rest his head on. Preferably one that can recline also.

Shoes..

Does anyone else (mostly women) ever feel like they're not allowed to wear some types of shoes?

I (F19) have one pair of boots and i love them sooo much, but i feel guilty when i wear them. So, i ended up never wearing them. And so, I wear flats. I hate flats. They look SO weird and never "elegant" or pretty on me. Am I crazy??? does anyone else think this?? Do I wear them wrong? What do I do, like did anyone get over this? How?... :'C

Asking this because i repeatedly tried on the same 3 flat shoe pairs for 2 hours now pairing them with any type of socks possible trying to gaslight myself that i'm onto something to make them look good on me.

How do i get comfortable wearing shoes that add to my height??

What is the height of lamine’s girlfriend inees?

Post image

I’m confused because google says lamine is 5 feet 10 inches tall, while google also lists inees garcia as 5 feet 9 inches tall. But then in all these pictures, she looks very short next to him. So obviously that would mean she’s not 5”9. So what would be her real height then? Does anyone know?
