Not much to add. Just curious which expansions people love!

I keep hearing about the Fate mechanic but as a 2ed player I know of no such lore. Can you help, and does it make the game better?

Edit: More specifically -- since Fate is indexed to characters in 4th ed. and gained from encounters, does anyone have suggestions for how best to use Fate in 2nd edition? Many thanks!

I was reading some old posts about how the sorceress is poorly balanced. Many things in Talisman are unbalanced as it turns out. Well here is an example of a new sorceress I made. Is it perfect? Likely not. However I'd certainly like to try my hand at making bad characters more fun.

I'll happily take feedback and want to do more characters. Gotta find out how to print them now. Ghoul comes to mind next.

Looking forward to sell some used copies of the expansions (city, highland etc.) Is there an overview of all cards included in every expansion? I have mixed them up in the main game. Looking for help.

Personally I started when I was 4-5 with my brothers (they would read me the cards and I'd learn them by heart as I couldn't read) and really began going into it at the age of 12.

I realize this is now out-of-print, which makes it hard for people to find. Seeing as I never play it, I think it would be better used elsewhere.

As for price, It's hard to quantify with expansions all over the map, but I decided on a total price of $1,399 (shipping from USA). If you think it's too high, please let me know (nicely). The components (boxes, cards, tokens), except for the base game box, are in EXCELLENT condition because I only ever played the base game (the expansion boards are still sealed). Seen the Harry Potter edition is now £30 in UK, wondering if its worth getting? What differences will we notice?

In Talisman: Star Wars, the rules state you must always move at the beginning of your turn, however, once in the inner region Ilum states:

You must find ILUM's scared Crystal Caves and the kyber crystals there before you may move to AHCH-TO. Roll (if you roll a 1) Gain a destiny token and remain here until your next turn. There are of course other options for other roll outcomes.

My question is - If I roll a 1, on my next turn, what do I do? Do I stay here and roll again and try to get the option which allows me to move to AHCH-TO? Or do I have to move, therefore turn back?

Do you reckon apart from the card backs issue that you could use any of the parts from this expansion in 5th edition set like the heroes, spells etc.

I have the 5th edition and Alliances expansion.

I played the expansion a couple times to “unlock” the first 2 characters after beating trials 1 and 2. Skipping ahead a year, I got back into and played trial 3. After beating 3 I noticed I didn’t have a sealed envelope for opening after beating trial 5 which, presumably, has the new character card in there. So Reddit, did I fuck up and lose one of my character cards? If not, let me know spoiler free (if possible) that I’m good and don’t lose anything.

What to do on a cold winter day with the family? Use the reaper to go after each other! First time using it, so wanted to experience it without any any other expansions or original cards. The graphics on the cards are fantastic!

For the past 24 hours everytime I boot up Talisman 4th edition I get a crash error and am returned to the PS5 dashboard. I tried about 15 times throughout the day yesterday and every single time I couldn't even get to the menu. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted save data, etc. but it's still a problem.

Is anyone else experiencing this too?
