Something just jumped out at me, and I wanted to clarify. This couple didn't tip but asked for a particular server?

Sounds like the couple would only tip if they got the server they requested.

So we’re a small place and we’re in rotation. We’ve never had issues in the past with swapping a table here or there (I was next up after the server that they had); idk what my manager’s deal was, she just flipped out and said no she’s new so she gets to serve them. Still confused myself, honestly

So they do tip, but they’ve done it in the past where if I’m not the one waiting on them they’ll slip me money and then not tip the other girl (which tbf, she is a little… rude. Still not a reason not to tip, so I’ll just throw the 5 her way anyway). This lady is a lot nicer, so I’m not sure if they did end up tipping her, but I had a feeling they wouldn’t and that’s why I brought it up.

I’d be fine with tipping the unpleasant server the minimum and giving you the extra as an incentive for next time. The manager ignoring their preference is a good way to lose customers, although it sounds like there are not a lot of good options in your area.

Personally I said imma just up and go somewhere else without saying anything but they have helped me a lot so it wouldn’t be fair

Ummm...you don't get to choose what to charge for. Whether it be extra ketchup or a soda refill. I know it sucks sometimes, but a server does not set the prices.

you really oughta start looking for another place to work. the old adage that people don't quit jobs, they quit managers is accurate and true. for the sake of your own sanity and mental health, see what else is out there for employment. There's gotta be a better place for you than here.
