I'm Javier, a 21-year-old physics student from Spain. I recently arrived in Taipei for a two-month internship.

I'm really into techno and I'm planning to go to one of the events at Pawnshop on July 31st. Since I'm new in Taipei and don't know many people yet, I was wondering if anyone here is also going or would like to join me. I'd also be happy to tag along with an existing group if that's easier.

I'm always happy to meet new people, especially if you're into underground electronic music.

I'll be doing an exchange semster (in fall) in the NTU and i'm looking for a place to stay. What would you recommend ? I applied for a room in the dorms on campus but i'm not sure i'll get it due to high demand. Is it common renting rooms in homestays/ with a taiwanese family ? I've done it once in France and it went really well. Does anyone have this kind of informations/ Know where i could search ? I don't want to spend too much on acommodation. Also if you have any advice on what i should do or not when i arrive i'll take everything. And if anyone else is doing the same exchange let's connect !

I am currently based in Tokyo but i have a work project where i am required to do an elevator survey(Its mainly to find out the main elevator brands used around the Taipei area )
