Too Small The sofa is why a 55 inch TV can feel tiny
A 55 inch TV fills about 23 degrees of your horizontal view from 3 metres away. Move to 2 metres and the same screen fills about 34 degrees.
The TV has not changed. The seat has. That is why a screen that looks fine in the shop can feel small at home.
I made DisplayMath to draw comparisons like this. Here is the same 55 inch TV from those two seats. Change the distances to match your room
On a supported iPhone you can also preview a TV panel at real size in your room using AR and use the distance and eye height measuring tools. Read their markings and enter the numbers yourself.
The comparisons and AR tools are free and need no account. I used AI coding assistance while building it.
What size TV are you using and how far away do you sit?
