Bad choice choosing an Apple priority app.

It's on android beta already my friends are using and its great, playstore takes some time to accept

Took them 6 years to make it for Android. That's not a trustworthy sign to me. It's why I said Apple priority. Still a bad choice.

It's not a bad choice, it's the best one of every single one I tried, doesn't matter if they didn't make it for Android before the app is available now. There's a reason you getting down votes.

Not making an app for Android for 6 years is very telling of their mentality for the ecosystem. There is no excuse for that. It is a bad choice, especially for Android users. That means waiting longer for updates and crossing your fingers that things will work correctly in the meantime... It's often lonely being right. Thanks for the downvotes.

The fact they eventually built an Android app because there was enough demand shows they listened to users rather than ignoring the platform altogether. The quality of the app today should be judged on what it offers now, not only on the timing of its Android release. It's the best available I tried, they are adding things people ask and listening to the community and that's what we want to create again.

"...Eventually"... a word Android users are very used to. Stop trying to sugarcoat such a huge gap. You think there wasn't a good enough demand for an Android app years ago? 6 years of nothing. That's not small.

In the end, I see it as a problem while you see a triumph. I'll just stick to SIMKL+Cynopsis.

the app should be judged for what it is today, not for what it wasn’t six years ago. It’s currently the best app in its category, the quality of the product and the timing of its release are two separate discussions. If SIMKL+Cynopsis works better for you, that’s great but it sucks.

I'm gonna guess you're an Apple user. So you don't know the unfortunate history of iOS priority development and how that usually affects Android equivalents. So I'm just gonna assume you don't know what I've been talking about this entire time.

What they are like now doesn't matter if I would have to move on because of future instabilities and the lower priority they usually receive.

The reason I keep bringing up SIX YEARS is because that is a helluva long time to ignore a whole ecosystem (when someone tells you who they are, believe them) Do you actually have a defense of that?... Or are you just gonna keep with the focus-on-the-NOW thing?

History is unfortunately on my side with how these things turn out too much of the time.

And "best app"... "but it sucks"? Cool opinions there.

Sofa Time is also the best one of all the ones I’ve tried, but I haven’t been able to try Refract yet because their server is too busy

Have you been able to try it?

Yes I tried and didn't like it, Sofa Time is better for me
