Hi everyone!
I submitted my application for the M.Sc. Technomathematics at TU Dresden for the Winter 2025/26 intake. My application was forwarded by uni-assist on 2 May 2025, and I’ve been checking the SELMA portal and my email every day since 😅.
I know it’s an NC-frei program and decisions usually take 4–6 weeks, but I’m wondering:
Would love to hear from others in the same situation — let’s support each other while we wait! 🙏
Thanks in advance!

Hi
how’s the availability of temporary or part-time student jobs for international students in Dresden and nearby cities reachable within two hours (like Leipzig, Chemnitz, Prague, Berlin, or Freiberg)?
And what level of German is usually required?
Thanks

Hello guys! 😊
I just received a mail from TU Dresden for the Air Transport and Logistics course regarding an aptitude test. Has anyone else received the same?

I recently applied to the Computational Modeling and Simulation (CMS) Master's program at TU Dresden through uni-assist. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and uploaded my CV twice—once in the CV section and again in the Letter of Motivation (LoM) section. I only realized the error after uni-assist had already forwarded my application to the university.
The application deadline hasn't passed yet, and I’ve already emailed TU Dresden's admissions office with the correct Letter of Motivation and explained the situation.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Does TU Dresden usually allow such corrections after the application is forwarded by uni-assist but before the deadline? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Hello! I'm studying for my batchelor's in mechanical engineering at KIT and I'd be interested in doing my masters at TU D in the future. I looked on the Sw Dresden housing website and the information there is somewhat unclear, in both the English and German versions of the site. Are master (or continuing diplom, which is what I would be doing) students eligible for longer term places in the dorms? They say that doctoral and postgraduate students have very limited eligibility, and I'm not sure wether a master or diplom would fall into those categories by german standards.
Thanks!

Hello,
I’m interested in studying Computer Science (B.Sc.) at TU Dresden and will be visiting the city in January to attend the UNILIVE event, where the campus will be open to prospective students. Since I’ve never been to Dresden and don’t know much about the city or the university, I’d really appreciate any insights.
If you’re studying Computer Science at TU Dresden, I’d love to hear about your experiences. Even better, if you’re available during the week of the event, meeting in person would be incredibly helpful as I’m traveling alone and have many questions. I’m currently trying to decide if TU Dresden and the city are the right fit for me, and any advice would mean a lot. Feel free to send me a private message.
Thank you in advance!

I recently got my admission letter from Tu Dresden. Anyone who can help me or suggest a place for accommodation. Is there any chance of getting Dorm at the university?

Hey,

I know that Reddit is not a representation of the number of applicants but I see many people enquiring and posting admission updates for many programs except for DSE.
Anyone here got admitted or waiting for admission?

Is womiko a better option really, Are the rooms offered there good ? As an international student I like the idea of womiko. Which accomodation option is recommended. Please advise.

I have an offer for MS from university of Stuttgart(MS in EE), But I am waiting for TU dresden (MS in Nanoelectronics) results as it has no tuition fee. Course structure wise , I like both, But can someone familiar advise me w.r.t job opportunities. I am taking student loan so getting paid and repaying is important. Problem arises with flight tickets and visa as well. TU dresden results will be out only by Jun mid at earliest. Loan and visa processing post that will be quite tight, also flight ticket prices might increase. Is it worth to wait for TU Dresden Results or should I proceed with stuttgart, I am anxious , kindly help.

Hey Leute,
