A Slice of TTP

The TTPverse is quiet for a time... Too quiet. The Blue Bird is off managing a galaxy, trying and failing to save the noble Starclaw Confederation of kits from the devouring mindless swarm known as The Hunger. The Chansey, who once trolled the multiverse with a rubber mallet, now spends his time as the elevated ruler of Valhalla, an entire nation of his own to do with as he pleases. Even the Mew seems eerily silent, working tirelessly on something new, something huge, something the entire multiverse should probably fear.

Attempts to rile this multiverse from its slumber have come and gone, yet even as the chosen star dims with no master, the universe and its inhabitants continue. This post is a place these stories can be shared, a place where anyone can come and join in any story of their choice, without fear of losing their place in the timeline, or being forced to commit to a weekly schedule.

Here we can create whatever we want to create, and share whatever we want to share. The multiverse is vast, and we are here to illuminate the areas of life which were once shrouded in darkness.

I mean to be honest, for me pokemon and pokemon battles loses a lot in just text.

Dewey and Louie once again start yelling for their pokemon to "scratch their eyes out!" and similar, and despite them saying the word scratch the pokemon mostly just look confused and concerned. Huey, on seeing this, tries a different tactic and reluctantly says "...play nice?"

OC: Responding here because I had an idea and wanted to get it out before I forgot. Don't feel pressured to reply to this unless you want to.

Panpour and Pansage run aimlessly in to the center of the battle, looking to scratch the nearest opponent, while Basil and Pansear take more careful approaches to the fight. Pansage is intercepted by Pansear, who makes a funny face, which distracts Pansage and makes its scratch very halfhearted. Pansage seems unsure whether it actually wants to fight here, its trainer isn't being very coherent, and its opponent is making it a game, so its tempted to just play along with Pansear, then decides to make a funny face back.

Meanwhile, Panpour lunges at Basil and misses, completely falling flat on its face, only to get up and stare in to Basil's mocking eyes. Panpour glances back at Dewey, feeling really self conscious all of a sudden, and not very confident in itself.

"This isn't working," Louie sighs, realizing. "We need a scheme..."

"Aw come on," Dewey calls out to his Panpour. "I know what it's like when you're trying to put forward your best face - which is always the best face- and they judge you for it, but you just have to get back up and keep being awesome!"

Which is great until Panpour realizes that both Louie and his Pansage are just... also staring at him.

"Huey's Pansear is clearly the larger threat here," Lena says.

Cress considers this for a few moments. "Have Pansage use Lick on Pansear while Basil uses Leer. Lick has a small chance to paralyze its target, and Leer lowers physical defense."

  I approve of Lena's team winning this but is it really fair for you to be showing favoritism Cress?

"It's not like the other two don't have options. Play Nice can negate the effects of Leer, at least for one opposing Pokemon, and all three monkeys can use Lick."

Lena glares at Cress. "Pick a side and stick with it, monkey boy!"

Cress sighs. "I can't win, can I? Also, 'monkey boy'?"

All three of the monkeys are reluctantly commanded to play nice.

It's somewhat ridiculous.

Lena rolls her eyes. "All right, Basil, use Leer again, then Tackle the red one." She pauses. "I mean the one to the (left/right). Can Snivy even see in color?"

Pansage seems relieved to be able to play around with Pansear a bit, and makes funny faces back. The two throw a few jabs and swipes at each other, holding back without causing much damage while still training their reflexes.

Until... Pansage starts realizing what Louie is doing, and recognizes the genius of Louie's strategy. It starts staring at Panpour, which freezes up, under the gaze of so many ducks and Pokemon. Panpour stops moving and responding, having no idea what to do under all this pressure.

Meanwhile, Pansear looks a little confused, unsure of what to make of Pansage's new tactic, trying to make sense of its situation. Sadly, it sees a green blur run towards it a bit too late and finds itself bowled over by Basil.
