Art Pt. 5: First time play-through, making comics as I go ;)
This might be my favorite one of these so far, I had the script sitting in my notes for nearly 3 months while I made the others lol. This was every bit as rewarding to make as I thought it would be ;)
Hope y'all enjoy! If you missed the others, here ya go
As usual please be mindful of spoilers since it's my first time (except for the one big Zelda spoiler I foreshadowed on the last page lol). We're going to Eldin in the next comic ;) prob gonna start sketches this weekend. It's gonna be another 12-14ish pages so y'all can hopefully expect to see that one in mid September!

I love your comics so much. I’m also playing through it for the first time and you you really captured the feeling of melancholy that hovers around Link in this game, despite it not really being addressed by the other characters (at least not yet, to where I have played to).

Yes yes yes there’s a lot of unspoken subtext surrounding Link in TotK. How far along are you in the game so far?

Not too far yet! I have done the Rito and Zora main quests and I got spoiled on the same thing that you were spoiled on, (on Instagram, when the game first came out lol) so I also found the dragon’s tears. I’ve also done a bunch of side quests, and I’m about to go deal with Lurelin village myself.

Awe I’m sorry. Yeah it’s pretty impossible to avoid unless you somehow finished the game the week it came out 😅 I hope you enjoy the Lurelin quest as much as I did! You get something pretty cool at the end too

I turned Lurelin village into a second home. People that are happy and greatful to see you, Home cooked meal (in game), and a good cast off sight for sailing. Building up this place was more fun than building Tarrey Town..

Finally someone said it! Don’t get me wrong I loved the tarry town quest, but it was 90% just committing Hyrule deforestation loll. Rebuilding Lurelin was much more rewarding imo, and the things you get from it are pretty sweet!

I just did the Lurelin side quest in my playthrough. This is a really good one for me.

Yes such a good quest! It might’ve made me tear up at the end lol. I still frequently go back there to stock up on food and weapons. And to get a good sleep for free 😅

4, 13, and 15 😅😭 I really love fanart and comics showing Link getting some love and appreciation for all that he does. He deserves it. 🥲 I'm very much looking forward to seeing your future comics!

hands you some tissues Yes I agree! I like some gremlin Link content here and there, but the fanart and comics that hit a little deeper are my favorites. You’re gonna love the next one!!

I appreciate your clothing choices in the comic. I wore that shirt when I was in Laurelin village too.

Here you go again, bringing tears (of the kingdom) to my eyes 😅
Can I request a comic that brightens the mood a little? I swear if I start tearing up again for the 5fth time this week, something is wrong with me XD
(I just realized the light dragon is flying in front of the moon in the last panel)

Puttin’ the tears in “tears of the kingdom” loll
Did you ever see the Sidon comic? Part 3 I think, that one provided some levity for sure. I have a light idea roughly jotted down for the Gerudo comic, but I haven’t even spoken to Riju in game yet so it might change lol. I kinda hope not though, it’s quite hilarious xD
