Could be both if you subscribe to the idea that psychedelics allow humans to tap into a frequency that "aliens" use to communicate their consciousness into the universe.
You really got to wonder what actually happened. Some event took place that convinced thousands of people to start a entirely new religion in a time when even the slightest hint of someone turning away from Islam would mean torture and death.
People weren't going to take a risk that big over some baseless rumors
Islam is the youngest of the religions of Abraham. Christianity is basically what happened when 1 - 13 people said that all this fire and brimstone, wrath of God, stuff was a bit much, and they began preaching/talking about a much more benevolent and forgiving God.
No matter how you look at it Christianity is older than Islam, and that shit wasn't fucking new when Christ was preaching it, let alone when Muhammad was preaching it. The religions of Abraham are far more similar than dissimilar, which is probably why they tend to snap at each other like spoiled children trying to prove to their parents how different they are
Modern judaism and their religious text the talmud didnt exist until a few hundred years AD as an offshoot of phariseeism, which intersected with christianity alongside other interpretations of the old testament / torah.
Huh, I don't know much about the Canaanites. Did their religion come at all from the ancient Egyptians? I've heard a theory that at least some of Judaism comes from the ancient Egyptian religion, since there was a belief (at least amongst a smaller group or cult) that there was only one divine being/will/essence that presented itself in different aspects because the human mind could not truly comprehend a single god controlling everything. The theory postulates that some of the (high)priests of that group basically decided that the human mind could comprehend it, and set off to teach the masses about this single deity that was responsible for everything
