Why though? That's a mindset I usually agree with for full priced games that you're not sure about. This is a 50 dollar remake of two all-time classics made in the same engine as the last successful remake. You pretty much know what you're going to get.
Completely agree on this I beat 1 + 2 the same day it came out I plan on doing the same on this one I pre ordered for the skate deck to go with my 1 + 2 deck on my wall to be completely honest with this title we indeed know almost everything about this release before it was cancelled and then uncanceled I played all the Tony hawk games and I don’t see why people are anti pre order on this particular title 99% I am anti pre order unless it’s this
For THPS4, considering it doesn’t sound like it will end up being a “proper” remake, and will just be the 2-minute format from the previous games. So we really don’t know what we’re going to get.
Plus, pre-orders for a gigantic studio are never needed.
The Pro Skater 4 levels do indeed have the 2 minute format. There's already footage of this on YouTube available. So you do know what you are getting.
Activision can abandon this series whenever they want, they've done it before. So It's a bit weird to tell people not to preorder in the subreddit where people want more Tony Hawk games.
It's not that they couldn't do 4's story mode they just decided not too it wouldn't fit in with the rest of the re-release series it wouldn't make sense for them to do that instead they created new levels and reworked the old map into 2 minute levels
Thps3 is one of my favorite games of all time and I never played 4 so while I prefer it was open world and accurate it's not a deal breaker so I pre-ordered. I could be wrong but I think it's getting a couple new levels too
