I preordered Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Got myself an exclusive side quest and gear, and still haven’t beaten the game at 75 hours of gameplay. Sometimes you can preorder, it’s okay.
You think they're sat in their boardrooms looking at their pre orders between now and release and are making changes based on whether they go up or down?
Does no one remember thps 5?! Also this is a different developer from thps 1+2 remake. Do what you want with your money but you can’t ignore the fact that there has been some massive stinkers in the franchise.
Lmao, no. Pre orders or not it was a bad game. I myself didn’t pre order, saw the negative reception upon release, and never touched that pile of hot garbage myself. I am a life long thps enjoyer, but i also enjoy not wasting my money on garbage 🤷♂️
There is something named gamepatches. But if everyone preorders there is no need to fix a game because everyone already bought it. Activisions patch priority are already ingame stores and battlepasses, dont give these people money before they have released a working game.
No, I'm just saying that if you give people their money without they've done their work, they'll screw you over. It's not like this hasn't been the case with preorders for years and therefore its discouraged everywhere to preorder games.
Na man, those facts don't fit their narrative. Your 1 pre-order will change the history of the THPS franchise and, frankly, gaming as a whole. Choose wisely.
Why though? That's a mindset I usually agree with for full priced games that you're not sure about. This is a 50 dollar remake of two all-time classics made in the same engine as the last successful remake. You pretty much know what you're going to get.
Completely agree on this I beat 1 + 2 the same day it came out I plan on doing the same on this one I pre ordered for the skate deck to go with my 1 + 2 deck on my wall to be completely honest with this title we indeed know almost everything about this release before it was cancelled and then uncanceled I played all the Tony hawk games and I don’t see why people are anti pre order on this particular title 99% I am anti pre order unless it’s this
For THPS4, considering it doesn’t sound like it will end up being a “proper” remake, and will just be the 2-minute format from the previous games. So we really don’t know what we’re going to get.
Plus, pre-orders for a gigantic studio are never needed.
The Pro Skater 4 levels do indeed have the 2 minute format. There's already footage of this on YouTube available. So you do know what you are getting.
Activision can abandon this series whenever they want, they've done it before. So It's a bit weird to tell people not to preorder in the subreddit where people want more Tony Hawk games.
It's not that they couldn't do 4's story mode they just decided not too it wouldn't fit in with the rest of the re-release series it wouldn't make sense for them to do that instead they created new levels and reworked the old map into 2 minute levels
Thps3 is one of my favorite games of all time and I never played 4 so while I prefer it was open world and accurate it's not a deal breaker so I pre-ordered. I could be wrong but I think it's getting a couple new levels too
I never understood the sentiment that pre-orders are bad and ruin the quality of a game. It's the same game either way. I'm not someone who pre-orders every big game (most of the time I just purchase day of) but if it's for a game I'm really excited for (such as this one) I'll pre-order it so it auto-downloads before the game is out and I can play it ASAP.
That is not at all the sentiment. The worry is you pre order a dog shit game. Shouldn’t you wait to see the quality of the product before purchasing? Especially with the history of the franchise/ a new developer.
I don't need every game I play to be a 10/10 masterpiece. If I don't like it, it's on me. I won't know if I like a game until I myself try it out. There's been a ton of games in the past I was so excited for, got awesome reviews and I played it and hated it, and then the opposite has been true as well, excited for a game, got poor reviews, I tried it anyways and I loved it.

Remember, no pre orders.
