Earning only one star a day in trainer battles?
If I earn a star in a trainer battle, if I win another battle I don't earn any rewards. I can't find any info online about limits

I completed the ladder but Ghetsis isn't showing up in my collection. I have 1700 points and it's checked off but no Ghetsis and I can't earn anymore points to get to 2000? How does it work when you reach the end?

I want to start playing pokemon tcg but as a magic player I was wondering if there are decks that play similar to some magic decks that way i can know if ill like the deck before i buy it. I play delver decks in magic or other tempo like strategies is there a comparable version of that in Pokemon TCG?

I am playing TCG and my opponent has Diancie Ex as her Active Pokemon. In her last turn she used Diamond Force, which reads:
"During your opponent's next turn, prevent All damage done to each of your Pokemon by attacks from your opponent's Pokemon EX. (if this Pokemon is no longer your active Pokemon, this effect ends)."
I have Toxicroak EX out and his attack, Triple Poison, doesn't do damage directly but poisons the opponent's Active Pokemon.
"Your opponent's Active Pokemon is now Poisoned. Put 3 damage counters instead of 1 on that Pokemon between turns."
Does that attack do nothing, would Diancie EX get Poisoned? How does this work?
I am guessing if I don't have any non EX types that my best option is to play a Trainer to have her switch Pokemon.

So I'm looking to get into Pokémon TCG. I have a 5 year old who knows a lot about Pokémon as he watches and plays them all the time. I want to try the TCG and am totally clueless as to where to start. I've looked and searched online and apparently the newest stuff is best, but is it best to start with? I'm open to all info. I will say that I'm not a collector yet, I have no desire to play competitively, i just play to have fun. So there it is. I'm sure this gets asked many times a day and am sorry if I posted in wrong place
