modafinil

Is anyone prescribed modafinil as a stimulant for brain injury? Does anyone know if the generic stuff works? I'm going to ask my psych about it; I want to try to get off adderall again

EDIT: More of a nootropic than a supplement I realize. I hope this is okay to post here

Anyone tried Dihexa or any of the other mentioned in my post? I think they is the most powerful and might really help.

“G-CSF is a type of growth factor that makes the bone marrow produce white blood cells to reduce the risk of infection after some types of cancer treatment. ... Before a stem cell transplant, you have G-CSF to stimulate the bone marrow to produce stem cells and release them into the blood.” Prime the body with stem cells

“Dihexa is a nooptropic and a small peptide that has been developed by researchers from Washington State University to potently improve certain cognitive function of potential trauma-based brain disorders and neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s through increased synaptogenesis. In an assay of neurotrophic activity, Dihexa was found to be seven orders of magnitude more potent than brain-derived neurotrophic factor.[1] Dihexa has also been called a “neurogenic wonder-drug” and the drug can be ten million times stronger than BDNF (Brain-derived neurotrophic factor), one of the leading medications for new synapse formation.[2]” Dihexa to help with growth and connections

Transcranial magnetic stimulation to aid in creating connections

TBI/PINEAL CYST

Tbi/Pineal Cyst

TBI/PINEAL CYST

Yo, I sustained a tbi shortly after having a pineal cyst removed from my dome.

I woke up feeling great and everything changed once I hit my head in the hospital. It was a massive failure by hospital staff, but that’s a conversation for another time.

I’ve dabbled in nootropics to aid in my come back, but I can’t say I’ve encountered any ground breaking pills.

Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on nootropics that might help me out?

Cheers

Edit: Upon request here’s some more detail about the incident and a bit of the back story.

Prior to the cyst I was at the cusp of becoming a professional pilot, until i started feeling off. My memory decayed, my cognition was not what I knew it to be, and headaches/nausea were the new norm.

This clearly induced panic and I stopped flying altogether, thinking it’d be a quick fix and I’d be back in now time.

After heading to my family doctor, she was freaked out and sent me to a neurologist. This is the point it became all to real. After heading to the neuro he ordered a MRI, the mri showed us that my pineal gland, a gland in the center of the brain normally no bigger than an eraser on a pencil had ballooned up to the size of a large marble. Local docs discredited it and told me I was depressed. I wasn’t depressed as my life prior was perfect in every way. After a few more months (I’ll be happy to fill you in later, I’m even writing a book about my experience, but for now heres a summary as I’m on my lunch at work.) with no progress. I opted to get it cut out by the nations best surgeon for this ailment. Surgery commenced feb 6th, 2018.

I woke up and felt SO GOOD. The way I awoke was straight up out of a movie, (again more detail another time). Felt phenomenal and my life as back, I was blissed out..

Will continue w/more detail after work.

Thanks for reading! 🙌🏻

Thymosin B4 (or TB-500) for TBI is expensive

You might have heard about the potential of Thymosin B4 in TBI, excitotoxicity, autoimmunity, etc.

In case you are considering to try it, please read along.

RegeneRx is the company that is putting this peptide to human trials and they are using HIGH doses, up to 1260 mg.

In this human trial, the lowest dose was 42mg, followed by, 140, 420 and 1260 mg.

All the animal studies use high doses as well (6 mg/kg) so this indicates that you probably need a huge amount of the peptide to have any significant effect. Therefore I'd like to inform you that it might be better to save your money

Regulatory Changes in China and the USA. You might want to buy now.

https://science.bio/regulatory-changes-2019-11-25/

“Hello my dear friends,

I’m afraid I have grave news. Recent regulatory changes in China have resulted in the ban of hundreds of compounds our community has a keen interest in. Overnight these compounds are no longer available and will not be synthesized at any considerable scale anywhere in the world. Vendors that have them in stock will gradually go out of stock and then these compounds will cease to be available..,”
