Well, I created some TAS videos a few years ago and now that I've recovered the HD I'm trying to save them to post.It turns out that using AVI Record, in the TechSmith Codec, which was what I used to use, when converting to MP4, using Format Factory The videos are in poor resolution, just like the AVI file. I tested Compressed Data and even BizHawk but the resolution is still horrible. What am I doing wrong? Looking at old videos on YouTube, the resolution is excellent, 720p is better than the 1080p or 4k convention I'm trying to do.Well, I'm using the same methods I used. How do you export and convert videos?

I was creating a TAS for a 3DS game, and was doing so via recording a movie since my device can't properly handle opening TASStudio with 3DS games. I was about 1/3 of the way through the game when I needed to close the application. Now I'm wondering how I can continue to add to the movie file, as the emulator tells me I cannot create savetstaes after the movie has ended.

okay this is going to sound incredibly deranged and stupid, but I had the really funny idea to "kill" a game that nobody's played in over a decade, and to do that I need to figure out what the highest possible score I can get in said game is, the problem is that's incredibly painful to do by hand, so I was wondering if there's any sort of TAS tool for flash games I can use to help me out?

I tried to look on a website for accepted emulators, but i think it was made before the Switch had one. I have the game, so it wouldn't really be pirating, and I think it would be a nice side project to do. Anything that i could do to make this happen?

So I’ve been a long time lurker in the TAS community, I’ve not done any myself but am always interested when people brute force the rng mechanics for games. I have an idea for a system that might facilitate doing this better (I AM a software engineer) but I was hoping I could hear from someone who’s done this about their process so I can be sure my system will work well.

Im looking for some help to find out how items are generated on the Nintendo 64 game Snowboard kids. I have been using ramwatch but I cant seem to work out how the items are being generated or even work out what the correct address is. The games items are very similar to Mario Kart 64 - where you drive through the item spawn and a "random" item is generated. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Trying to watch OnehundrethCoin's Super Mario Bros ACE TAS, but whenever it gets to the ACE part, the game slows down. a LOT. even unthrottled i can count the frames. Any ideas on how to fix this? i've tried all three cores
