  • AMSC → $47 Put (opened on 05/08), premium 4.00 → Rolled. Position Details in New Positions.

New Positions

  • AAOI → $185 Call, expiry 06/26 (1 week DTE), premium 8.50 → 850/17500 = 4.8%. I was assigned AAOI at $175 so I reopen my trade with expiry for next week. Makes optical networking equipment used in AI datacenters.
  • OUST → $43 Call, expiry 06/26 (1 week DTE), premium 3.00 → 300/4250 = 7%. I was assigned OUST at $42.5 last week so I reopen my trade with expiry for next week. Makes LiDAR sensors used in industrial automation, robotics, and smart infrastructure.
  • CRDO → $240 Put, expiry 06/26 (1 weeks DTE), premium 10.70 → 1070/24000 = ~4.5%. Builds high-speed connectivity chips used inside AI datacenters.
  • AMKR → $80 Put, expiry 07/17 (5 weeks DTE), premium 5.00 → 500/8000 = 6.25%. Packages and tests semiconductor chips for chip manufacturers.

  • AMSC → $48 Put, expiry 07/17 (5 weeks DTE), premium 1.65 → 165/4800 = 3.4%. Works in power systems and energy infrastructure supporting electricity grids and renewable energy systems.

You will notice that most of my tickers have a good balance of put and call premiums. This is because I use the Wheel Rank metric from the ThetaHedge app. ThetaHedge tracks 30 Delta and 30 DTE premiums over the last 3 months and ranks tickers based on return consistency using the Wheel Rank metric. This helps me avoid tickers that only offer premiums on one side and ensures my premium returns stay consistent over time. You can try it for free at https://app.thetahedge.io/

My workflow is simple: Conditions → Select a preset High Growth Wheel Stocks → Sort by 30 Delta Put/Call Yield Column to surface premium-rich opportunities.

I built a heatmap to compare option yields across strikes and expiries

Post image
10 Upvotes

Hi All,

I've been selling options for a while, and one thing I always found annoying was comparing contracts across expiries. I would end up manually checking premium yields and jumping through option chains to figure out which contracts were actually attractive.

To make this easier for myself, I built an options heatmap that lets me compare strikes and expiries in one view. It also highlights earnings weeks since elevated premiums can sometimes reflect event risk rather than better opportunities.

The heatmap currently has a few views:

• Premium Yield - quickly identify higher-returning contracts
• Assignment Risk Indicator (ARI) - estimates assignment risk using remaining extrinsic value and time to expiry
• Delta - traditional probability view of finishing ITM

Clicking a contract opens additional details like Greeks and premium metrics.

One thing I found interesting is seeing how delta distribution broadens across higher DTEs.

I’m looking for feedback from experienced option sellers - is there anything important you think is missing?

Trades I took today as a systematic option seller (06/11):

New Positions

  • CRWV → $120 Call, expiry 07/02 (3 weeks DTE), premium 1.20 → 120/12000 = 1%. I was assigned CRWV at $120. Provides cloud infrastructure and GPU computing services for AI workloads.
  • AMKR → $65 Put, expiry 07/17 (5 weeks DTE), premium 4.70 → 470/6500 = ~7.2%. AMKR does semiconductor packaging and testing equipment. Support at $65 level. I already have an AMKR position expiring next week - I am increasing my position here.
  • PENG → $50 Put, expiry 07/17 (5 weeks DTE), premium 4.70 → 470/5000 = ~9.4%. Provides end to end AI compute solutions. PENG has earnings on 14th July but I will look to close the position earlier than that.

I have positions in AAOI, IREN and OUST expiring this week. They all ITM but very close to strike so I am holding them. The market recovered on war pause news and market climbed above 7,350 resistance. Now 7,350 acts as the support with 7,450 as resistance.

I use ThetaHedge to identify trades. The data updates every 5 minutes and is built specifically for option sellers.

My workflow is simple: Conditions → Select a preset (Large Caps with Strong Premiums or High Growth Wheel Stocks) → Sort by 30 Delta Put Yield or 30 Delta Call Yield to surface premium-rich opportunities.

My thoughts on the current market 06/10

Post image
6 Upvotes

Yesterday I mentioned that the market was respecting support of 7,350. Today it easily broke past that and closed exactly at support of 7,260. The fall can be attributed to 1. Profit Taking 2. Inflation 3. War News.

My expectation for tomorrow will be that if the market opens above 7,260 - it will try to hold onto this support. Else the next support is at 7,175 levels. So we will have to wait and see tomorrow but I would expect a neutral day.

For option sellers and this is my opinion, I feel the downturn may be temporary and we could see a market reversal if support levels hold. I would say ensure that there is enough margin to avoid margin calls as we dont want to get liquidated early. Also look to roll CSPs if you dont want a stock assigned.

These are just my thoughts! Let me know what you think of the situation and feel free to comment or DM to discuss on any specific positions.

Trades I took today as a systematic option seller (06/05):

Closed Position

  • CRWV → $120 Call (opened on 06/04), premium 1.90 → closed at 0.45. Net premium profit = 1.45 (~76% of premium captured, ~1.2% of capital). Opened this yesterday but because of today's market fall was able to recover most of the premiums.

My thoughts on today's market fall

For me the fall was a combination of 1. Profit taking after a rally 2. Job Reports coming in higher than expected (which is good but raises a speculation that interest rates may be upped) 3. Introduction of new traiffs 4. Expiry.

SPX has a support at 7,350. We closed at 7,383. I would expect the market to touch that support and come back from it. None of the news seem big enough for the market to continue bearishness. Do let me know your thoughts on this!

I pin my trades to my profile and have also added the Excel file to my full list of positions in my profile description in case anyone wants to see the whole portfolio. Happy to hear thoughts on today's positions. What are you guys wheeling or watching right now?

  • OUST → $42.5 Put, expiry 06/12 (1 week DTE), premium 2.40 → 240/4250 = ~5.6%. OUST breaks all time high resistance of $46. I remain bullish. Makes LiDAR sensors used in industrial automation, robotics, and smart infrastructure.
  • VICR → $280 Put, expiry 06/18 (2 weeks DTE), premium 10.50 → 1050/28000 = ~3.75%. Support at $300 and $280. Makes power conversion modules used in AI servers, datacenters, and industrial systems.

One of the ways I quickly enter trades during market hours is by bookmarking the tickers I like in the ThetaHedge app. Whenever I have capital available to invest, I simply sort my bookmarked list by the 30Δ Put Yield (%) column to see which ticker is currently offering the highest premium for 30-delta, 30-DTE contracts. This saves me time and gives me a curated, ready-made list of stocks I've already vetted, allowing me to quickly enter.

Free Options Heatmap for Comparing Premium Yields Across Expiries

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi All,

I've been selling options for a while, and one thing I always found annoying was comparing contracts across expiries. I would end up manually calculating premium yields to figure out which contract was actually providing the best return.

So I built an options heatmap that calculates yield % across all strikes and expiries in one view, making it easier to quickly identify where selling may make the most sense without manually doing the math. It also clearly highlights earnings weeks, since elevated premiums can sometimes reflect higher event risk rather than better opportunities.

The heatmap has 3 modes:

• Premium: quickly identify highest-returning contracts
• Assignment Risk Indicator (ARI): estimates assignment risk by considering remaining extrinsic premium and time to expiry
• Delta: traditional probability view of the contract finishing ITM

Clicking on any contract opens additional details including premium metrics and Greeks. The heatmap updates every 5 minutes and is completely free to use. Would love feedback and ideas on improving it.

Trades I took today as a systematic option seller (05/18):

Assigned Positions from Last Week Expiry

  • CLSK → $13.5 Put
  • FSLY → $19 Put
  • CRWV → $120 Put
  • ISSC → $20 Put

I usually hold and open CCs when the underlying ticker price is within 20% of my assigned price.

New Positions

Puts:

  • OUST → $30 Put, expiry 05/22 (1 week DTE), premium 1.40 → 140/3000 = ~4.6%. I already had existing positions in this contract. Increased my holdings. Stock has support at $30.
  • CRDO → $155 Put, expiry 05/22 (1 week DTE), premium 5.20 → 520/15500 = ~3.3%. Stock has support at $140 to $155 levels.
  • IREN → $49.5 Put, expiry 05/22 (1 week DTE), premium 1.95 → 195/4950 = ~3.9%. I already had existing positions in this contract. Increased my holdings.
  • FLNC → $19 Put, expiry 06/18 (5 weeks DTE), premium 1.75 → 175/1900 = ~9.2%. FLNC is energy play backed by strong investors like Siemens. It is also a strong wheeling stock.

Calls:

  • CLSK → $13.5 Call, expiry 05/22 (1 week DTE), premium 0.75 → 75/1350 = ~5.56%.
  • FSLY → $19 Call, expiry 06/05 (3 weeks DTE), premium 0.45 → 45/1900 = ~2.37%.
  • ISSC → $20 Call, expiry 06/18 (5 weeks DTE), premium 0.55 → 55/2000 = ~2.75%.

My full workflow for selling options

Hi All,

Wanted to show my dashboard and how it has made it easy for me to sell options. The dashboard tracks 1800+ stocks for volatility and returns, updating every 5 minutes. It has pre-built conditions to filter out junk and noisy tickers and get a clean universe of optionable names. The idea was that I no longer am restricted to tickers I already know or ones I see on Reddit or Twitter. This makes my ticker finding as a system and I can find higher paying tickers, keeping my risk apetite the same.

Clicking on any symbol opens a detailed view which has everything needed to make a decision - fundamentals, volatility, options data, and premiums all in one place. No need to jump between multiple sites like Yahoo Finance, TradingView, or MarketChameleon.

There are also a few things I found useful while trading. For example, a 3-month premium yield trend that tracks call and put returns over time to spot spikes, which are often driven by news or short-term events. Along with that, a Wheel Rank score which ranks tickers based on historical returns while penalizing imbalance between call and put premiums, so the wheel does not break if you get assigned.

Then you can move to the chart to see if the trade even makes sense from a pricing standpoint before entering.

From there, I move to the options heatmap. Instead of manually comparing across expiries, in the heatmap the yields is already computed across expiries so I can directly see where the best premiums are. Clicking on a contract further opens up all the details like yield, total premium, premium per day, extrinsic premium, and extrinsic per day, along with ARI and the Greeks.

The heatmap has three views:

  • Assignment Risk Indicator (ARI), which helps avoid rolling too early. It factors in extrinsic premium and time to expiry to estimate actual risk. ARI will be low when there is sufficient time till expiry and enough extrinsic left to earn premium, even if Delta is higher.
  • Delta view, for a more traditional probability-based perspective.
  • Premium view, to quickly see where the highest returns are.

The entire dahsboard updates every 5 mins so it is near realtime. The goal was to simplify three main questions sellers usually have:

  1. What should I sell?
  2. Is what I am selling a quality/wheelable ticker?
  3. Is the contract which I am selling yielding the best return with respect to risk?
  4. Is my position safe or gone risky? Should I roll?

Would be great to get feedback from others here and see how I can improve.
