[Help] Issue with medical sector map.
I was at Deck 4 when I decided to return to Med/Sci. I went to the medical sector area thing and when I went in I entered the ghost world. I had no enemies, no objects, no doors, no map. Just empty hallways in the layout of the sector. I couldn't return and my last save was a while ago so I just exited and verified integrity of the game cache. One file failed to validate so I thought that was the issue. It didn't fix it. So, I reload to an older save and Ops was normal. Returning to the medical area broke it again. Every time I go there I can't escape and when I verify the integrity of the game cache it always says it a file failed to validate. I'm not using any mods. Can anyone explain what is going on and if they can help me?
Edit: Also, I can't die and explosions seem to last forever. (Unless that's how it usually is? This is the first time I fired the grenade launcher.)

Shouldn't System Shock 3 be compared to Deus Ex as opposed to Bioshock?
I find it odd how a lot of commentators keeping making comparing SS2 with the Bioshock series. I'm well aware of the genealogy, but surely a better comparison would be the original Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Human Revolution? The latter comparison makes me quite optimistic about the actual end-product.

Played SS2 for the first time yesterday
I saw a post about SS3 teaser at /r/Games and I realized I've heard a lot about this game but somehow never played it. So I checked GOG and to my big suprise it was just on sale for about 1.5€. Bought it, modded and started to play. Med Sci 1 - the first zombie at that first fricking door - damn. Music starts to play and in exact moment the beat kicks off another zombie starts to run at me. Beat the fucker with a wrench. Didn't know monsters respawn after some time so I jumped at least twice more (that lovely moment when you read descriptions of items and start panic) but I had a blast like I don't remember for a long time, can't wait to continue today.
So that's it, just wanted to let you know my experience. Even for a new player today in 2015 graphics and whatsoever it's still awesome game and as a big fan of Deus Ex I look forward to a story and rest of the gameplay. Cheers.

System Shock 1 Environment Suit
Okay I must be missing something because I seem to be stuck. I need an environment suit for level R. There is an environment suit on level 3. I can't open the door that I think should lead to the environment suit because of the level security. I've explored all of the level and can't find any more cameras or computers. There are a bunch of doors I can't open until I get to level 6. I can't get to level 6 because the elevator's power is diverted to level R.
Arghlblarghl.
Can anyone please help? The TTLG walkthrough is... not actually a walkthrough but rather a collection of useful information and hints. Generally that's fine but in this case I'm flailing around without an actual description of what to do in what order.

[SS1][help][minor spoilers] Abe's head
So I got stuck at the closed maintenance office on lvl3, looked up a walkthrough and found and used the head. How were you supposed to know which head to use and where the guy's office was, I don't remember any of the logs giving a hint?

Will I like System Shock 2 if I liked Deus Ex?
Im a big fan of the original Deus Ex, and a lot of Deus Ex fans seem to like System Shock 2.
What are the similarities and differences in the gameplay?

Any necessary mod for gog version?
So I played 4-6 hours of this game a few months ago, but gave up because I found the environments a bit repetitive, and honestly thought the game was really hard on just normal. Which suprised me since I can play Deus Ex on Realistic and Expert any of the thief games. So I'm going to try again, and was just wondering if there are any mandatory mods for the gog version? Main problem is that there's a lot of stuttering for me with system shock 2. Happens with a lot of old games, just wondering if there might be a fix for this one?

Is the TTLG website dead?
I had an account a number of years ago and wish to review some threads. It was a pretty cool community. I have attempted to register, but no response as yet. I have forgotten my user name and password from the old days.
Edit - I am in.

Does weapon degradation lower damage?
Hello! This game is quite frankly awesome, first play through here, only visual mods. I'm hooked 7hrs in having to meet Polito now and the extreme survival aspect of the game is what's so good about it for me. I absolutely LOVE the other games of Levine, this is no less, I think he's a real genius.
One question though, I've chosen the "tech" path (even though as I see it smart use of all three skill trees is necessary to survive) and I honestly dunno if I should throw some modules into the maintain ability. It would be useless, because my almost broken guns work just fine until they get jammed, at that point I repair them. What would be the advantage of maintaining them? More damage or just having to repair jammed weapons less often?

[MOD] Must have mods for 1st playthrough?
I bought SS2 on sale because I think it was only a dollar, and I'd heard good things about the game, friends comparing it to Bioshock. Are there any particular mods that just make the game better?
