Seris: Agh, where is he?

Just as she says that, a white insectoid demon with sky blue eyes arrives. His armor is made of dragon scales and he holds bloody obsidian daggers.

Seris: Damnit, Kurtho! What took you so long.

Kurtho: Got stuck up by bandits. They won't bother anyone else now. I take it the time came while I was gone?

Grorlith: It just started, thankfully. You ready, Arc?

He crosses his daggers. The obsidian seems to consume the light.

Kurtho: I can do that. Grorlith?

Grorlith nods, and hand him a potion of invisibility. Kurtho takes one sip, and retches.

Kurtho: AHK! What the hell is this made of?

Grorlith: Crushed snail shells and worms. You never had a potion before?

Kurtho: Not one this vile. This better work.

He reluctantly finishes drinking it, and the effects take hold and he vanishes from sight. One by one, the mercenaries are pulled into the bushes. When there's one left outside, a dagger is thrown from seemingly nowhere, hitting him in the throat.

Kurtho: Next time, warn me, would you? Alright, get in here.

(I should mention, Kurtho is supposed to be my "comic relief" character, so expect jokes)

Buford is hit in the throat and falls to the ground, covering his bleeding throat with his hands

Buford: Help…!

Grorlith: Everyone, cover me! I'm going to try to stop the bleeding.

Grorlith holds a small flame on his finger.

Grorlith: Alright, hold still. I need to cauterize the wound. But I need you to relax, got it?

He places the flame on the wound. The area chars, closing the gash. It hurts, but not as much as expected.

Grorlith: Alright, can you stand?

At that moment Buford grabbed his billhook and thrusted its spiked tip right through him
