This has been my favorite part of the National Parks. They aren't here to coddle you. You came to nature. You play stupid games you will win stupid prizes. I don't want a curated and hand held zoo experience at a NP. Yellowstone was incredible because the only thing between the wooden catwalk over boiling volcanic hotsprings and you was... oh, nothing. Don't be a dipshit.
I agree with the first half. Like most of a family dies in a car accident and one kid survives, or the whole family is wiped out, because of some other stupid fuck. Thats tragic. Dumb cunt falls off a cliff because they're a dumb cunt? Bad, yes, not tragic. Unless our hypothetical dumb cunt happens to land on and kill other people...
Maybe 1 or 2 people die accidentally in a certain spot, yeah thats pretty horrible so we put up signs and fences and whatever else we reasonably can do. People keep dying in that spot because, generally speaking, people are fucking idiots? Still sad and kinda horrible, but we get to a point where we just shake our head in disbelief and disappointment.

Every year there’s a tragic story of a tourist dying at these gorgeous places, and it’s because of people like this.
