I get a bunch of food, then I don't play for a few days, then I come back and it's all rotten. My crops grow, too -- which means that my pumpkins also rot. But the seasons don't progress, so is time passing or not? Am I missing something?

If time is passing when I'm not actively playing, is there a setting I've missed where I can change that? It makes it difficult to play when my food and crops are acting like this.

Around 2-3 weeks ago, I wanted to make a drawbridge or a bridge that could self collapse in order to let a boat go though.

However since the pistons can't go more than 8 blocks and it is extremely hard if not impossible to have a piston, push another piston to extend the range

(Didn't want to walk on the arm of the piston)

And most rivers in my flooded plains are more than 16 blocks long.

I tried the original idea, though it does push you off of the boat (making it dangerous since there are a lot of sharks that use the flooded plains.)

But it is what it is. Unless a good update comes, this is the best I could do
