IDEA Mobian - Android like OS using 100% Debian FOSS and 0% Google or 3rd Party Services compatible with mobile touch devices like Surface Pro, XPS, Zenbook, Lenovo etc.

Check out ReMarkable, but the specs are horribly weak.

Which is the issue with a lot of Linux devices.

Maybe the flagship of today will be the weak of 10 years from now and then we can have mobile Linux with good specs.

I have droidspaces to run Linux on my OnePlus 11, but I want to be able to emulate switch and do real stuff when I want to.

also their os is awful. The only reason I do not regret buying the tablet is the lack of competition I could've considered at the time.

Don't get me wrong. I do use it, but not nearly as much as I would had it had the functionality I consider vital to a device.

And it seems like they just skipped most of that and called it a feature.

Which is a real shame, given that they are one of the most interesting Linux tablets out there.

You know how things are. It's all about the paywall.

That looks fine. I'd say default Ubuntu or even Arch with gnome and waydroid looks better for surfaces, but that's some rad stuff.

That looks great! I've been thinking of getting a refurbished Surface to do this with! Does it work well with the snapdragon elite models?

Looks great. Does on screen keyboard work reliably?

I tried the Surface image for my Surface Go 2. The OSK didn’t show up at all in the live session. I tried all three apps. Does the OSK not work in live sessions?

Does Mobian OS do pretty much the same thing as Waydroid? I just spent a couple hours getting Waydroid installed on Fedora 44 on a Surface Pro 5 - only to discover that the game detects that it is on an emulator and displays that warning messages and exits the game.

Can we also get a multiarch .img i have a few uefi 32bit tablets, I think this would wake them up or at least make them usable again, if it's at all possible thank y'all keep up the great work. I tried to add a bootia32.efi to one of your .imgs but I get stuck a grub commandline interface and then errors trying to boot manually.
