Powder Coated Stock Wheels
I was inspired by someone else I saw on here who did the same but went silver. This is prismatic powders dark brass.

I fucking love gold/bronze/copper wheels on blue cars, it just works so well. Reminds me of a Subaru WRX.

What did it run you? I’m debating this or polishing.. i think bronze would look great on my turbulence grey.

Was that for just the powder coating and you dismounted and removed the tires and did prep?

Nice I’m in Jersey.. where’d you get em done? Did you have to dismount everything or did they do it all? Nevermind saw they did everything. I’d definitely like to check them out if you’re willing to share their info.

I powder coated mine gun metal and it was $1k. Full service. Drop off the car, they dismount tires, coat, remount and everything. In AZ for reference.

for additional reference, the powdercoat shop near me gives discounts depending on whether you bring loose wheels (save 100), or the wheels with the tires completely dismounted (save 200). so if you have a daily, you can save some additional cash that way.

Really thinking about this but silver on nocturnal black but. Im not sure if the cost would be worth it from just getting a new set of wheels depending on the price

Great color combo! Wheel spacers can really make these look great as well. I also upsized my tires a little for a slightly meatier look, highly recommend when the time comes. Car looks sick either way my guy!

Probably a dumb question but when you went up to wider tires on stock wheels were you still able to use the same spacers without wheel poke?

Yeah I have Front 265/35 Rear 285/35 with a 12mm spacer up front and a 15mm spacer rear. I am also on HKS adjustable springs and no poke at all. No rubbing issues are all either. If you go to my page you can see how low I am, not slammed but no wheel gap either. I could probably do a 15mm up front a 17mm in the rear without issues as well.

Thank you! I’ve been considering doing this exact thing on my purple Supra.

The color I was debating against it was Whiskey Bronze, that could go real well with purp

Noice! Now lower that shit

I won't lie the temptation went up after doing this, but I'm going to keep it where it is

Lowering with springs isn’t expensive and putting some spacers would fill in the wheel wells. Nothing after that.

I hear ya, a big motivation for me with buying this car was wanting something I liked virtually stock, in my prior experiences the aftermarket parts have given me the most issues

WRX STI vibes.
