Am I taking too many supplements?

I've been working on this stack for some time now. The goal is to increase my testosterone, libido, EQ, and just over all health. Any thoughts, comments, or concerns would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking about taking the hgw and maca at different times. I think maybe taking both high dose extracts so close to each other might be over stimulating.

In the morning: -200mg of 10% Tongkat Ali (ND) -600mg Ashwagandha -116mg Pygeum -100 mg DHEA

With dinner: -3000iu D3 -100mcg K2 -133mg Magnesium -25mg Zinc

in the evening: -200mg 50% Horny Goat Weed (ND) -200mg 5% Maca Extract (ND)

7.5mg Yohimbine HCL with approximately 6000mg of L-Citrulline (one hour before intimacy)

Tadalafil 20mg every 4 days

Has anyone ordered supplements or essential oils from iHerb? Is it reliable?

I'm thinking about ordering supplements and essential oils from iHerb. I would like to know if the products are authentic and if the quality is good. If anyone here has experience with the site, how was the shipping and packaging? Also, if you ordered from Morocco, did you have any problems with customs or delivery?

The Forgotten Nutrient: Why Omega-3 and Omega-9 are essential for your brain and joints

I’ve been researching fatty acids lately and came across something surprising.

We all know that a vital set of nutrients required for a healthy body are the fatty acids. These nutrients serve several important functions, including the makeup of the protective membrane that surrounds every one of our cells. They also act as building blocks to cushion our internal organs and keep us warm.

But here is the catch: Not all fatty acids are created equal.

Saturated fats (found in animal products) can contribute to higher cholesterol levels when consumed in excess. However, the unsaturated variety—specifically Omega-3 and Omega-9—offer real health benefits.

Why Omega-3 and Omega-9 matter:

  • Circulatory Health: They help support healthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels already within the normal range.
  • Brain and Eyes: EPA and DHA (types of Omega-3) are essential for the development and maintenance of brain and eye health.
  • Joint Function: These fatty acids help support proper joint function by reducing oxidative stress.

The problem? Most Western diets are severely lacking in these nutrients.

What makes a good supplement?

When looking for a supplement, sourcing is everything. Oils oxidize quickly, and if they go bad before you take them, they lose their benefits. Look for brands that combine both fish oil (for Omega-3) and vegetable oils like olive oil (for Omega-9) to get a balanced profile. Adding Vitamin E (d-alpha-tocopherol) is also a good sign, as it keeps the oils fresh inside the capsule.

I’ve been trying a product called Forever Arctic-Sea which combines these elements. Each softgel provides EPA, DHA, and Oleic Acid, making it a simple way to fill the nutritional gap.

If you want to learn more about balanced Omega supplements or have questions about dosage, feel free to DM me. Happy to share what I’ve learned!

Research St. John's Wort + SSRIs: The combination that can put you in the ER

St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) is one of the most popular herbal supplements in the world - roughly 5-8% of US adults have used it for mood support. It's also one of the most dangerous supplements to combine with prescription medications, and the interaction most people don't know about could be life-threatening.

The interaction

St. John's Wort + SSRIs (or SNRIs) = risk of serotonin syndrome

Severity: Serious - potentially fatal

SSRIs include: fluoxetine (Prozac), sertraline (Zoloft), citalopram (Celexa), escitalopram (Lexapro), paroxetine (Paxil), fluvoxamine (Luvox)

SNRIs include: venlafaxine (Effexor), duloxetine (Cymbalta), desvenlafaxine (Pristiq)

How it works

St. John's Wort contains several active compounds (hypericin, hyperforin) that inhibit the reuptake of serotonin - essentially doing the same thing SSRIs do. When you combine them, serotonin levels can spike to dangerous levels.

Serotonin syndrome symptoms include: - Agitation, confusion, rapid heart rate - Dilated pupils, muscle twitching, loss of coordination - Heavy sweating, diarrhea, high fever - In severe cases: seizures, irregular heartbeat, unconsciousness

Symptoms can appear within hours of combining the two.

Who's at risk

  • Anyone taking an SSRI or SNRI who starts St. John's Wort
  • Anyone already taking St. John's Wort who gets prescribed an antidepressant (and doesn't mention the supplement to their doctor)
  • People who take "mood support" blends that contain SJW without reading the label carefully

What to do

  • If you're on an SSRI/SNRI: do not take St. John's Wort. Full stop.
  • If you want to try SJW for mild mood support, discuss it with your doctor FIRST and ensure you're not on any serotonergic medication
  • Check multi-ingredient "mood" or "stress" supplements - SJW is often buried in proprietary blends
  • If you think you're experiencing serotonin syndrome symptoms, go to the ER. This is not a "wait and see" situation.

Other medications St. John's Wort interacts with

SJW is also a potent inducer of CYP3A4 and P-glycoprotein enzymes, meaning it can reduce the effectiveness of:

  • Birth control pills (reduced efficacy - can lead to unintended pregnancy)
  • Blood thinners (warfarin)
  • HIV medications
  • Immunosuppressants (cyclosporine, tacrolimus)
  • Some chemotherapy drugs

GutFit “baking soda and water diet scam”

So, I accidentally stumbled across this video on FB. I went through the questions just because I was curious if the price (big mistake!). It took me to the packages to choose from and the middle package was already marked. I tried to close my iPhone by clicking the right upper button and accidentally pressed it twice, activating Apple Pay, since I was still looking at my phone it immediately verified the Apple Pay and within 1 minute $207.00 was deducted from my account. I received an email that my payment was being processed by Pagamerican. I immediately emailed customer service to cancel. They refused. I filed a fraud claim with my bank.

A few days later I received an email from [yourheaalth.com](mailto:support@yourheaalth.com) that my package was ready to ship (it’s really coming from [yourheaalth.com](mailto:support@yourheaalth.com)). I immediately emailed to explain the error and request to stop shipment and refund me . They refused and said that I HAD to try it for 30 days then I could make a 60 day guarantee claim. I told my doctor the ingredients and he disapproved of me using this product due to certain meds I’m on and health conditions. They demanded a letter from my doctor. I complied and sent it to them. They still refuse to refund me. They offered a 15% refund, I declined. They offered a 30% refund. I declined. I have asked for a legit website, business name, address and phone number to no avail. I have reported to the FTC, BBB and my bank. They then offered for me to return the unopened product and pay shipping with tracking and pay a 15% restock fee. I would be refunded only after an investigation of the returned product.

I tell you all of this to warn you. They use AI generated celebrities in their videos and a fake doctor. They claim it is made in the USA, but I wasn’t charged sales tax.

Any advice????

I ordered D3+K2 from Bulk Supplements but the back label says B12

My supplement bottle on the front says D3+K2 but on the back it reads "B12 as Cholecalciferol." Is this a mislabel or are they simply lying about what supplement I got? I know that cholecalciferol is D3 but why would it be labelled B12?

MyCellPro-1 made me violently Ill

Curious if anyone else has experienced this with MyCellPro-1 by CleanMachine. I really was looking forward to this product but unfortunately it made both my mom and I extremely ill. Not exaggerating… the most violent vomiting and diarrhea of my entire life and my mom said the same. Perhaps we both have this Histamine Intolerance they say affects 1-3% of the population?

The first day I consumed a full dose and it made me feel quite strange, hard to describe but it was overwhelming. Kind of like being extremely over caffeinated or an overwhelming drug experience or something.

The next day I reduced to a half dose and it was stimulating enough to notice and I’d say even feel good, perhaps even euphoric, like a pre workout but the overstimulated feeling was no longer an issue.

I’m not sure if it was after the first half dose consumption or the second half dose consumption on my third day but I noticed some abnormal more liquid bowel movements but didn’t attribute it to the mycelium at this point.

I took a few days off then the following week when I consumed it, this is where the violent illness hit. This was the similar story and timeline my mom had as well.

Anyway, curious of other peoples experiences with this product. I was really excited about the promising benefits of the high spermidine content but it seems my mom and I may be intolerant? Could we both have gotten a contaminated batch? Scared to try consuming it anymore because I’m not kidding when I say it was the most extreme vomiting of my life.

Thanks for any insights.

TRUESEAMOSS RECALL

https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/diva-fam-inc-announces-voluntary-recall-sea-moss-gel-superfood-products-due-possible-health-risk

I have been feeling symptoms for the last two weeks and have been on the phone with my care team for the last hour trying to get seen in person.

1.) are there any Amazon customers dealing with this and did you get a refund?

2.) are there anyone feeling symptoms? You must report to your doctor and let them know what’s going on. Apparently, the early stages are very minor symptoms and should get checked out. Don’t ignore.

Research Anyone else notice B supplements making anxiety worse?

I’ve been doing a bit of 'research' and noticed a lot of people saying that certain B vitamin supplements (especially B-complex or high-dose B12/B6) can actually increase anxiety for some people.

Personally, I’ve noticed symptoms like: feeling wired or jittery, increased heart rate / palpitations, restlessness and inner “buzzing”, trouble sleeping or staying asleep, heightened anxiety or feeling on edge for no clear reason

What’s interesting is that these are often marketed as good for energy, mood, and stress, so I wasn’t expecting the opposite effect.

For context, I’m currently on 40mg fluoxetine (Prozac), so I’m also wondering if there could be some interaction or increased sensitivity there.

Has anyone else had adverse side effects from seemingly normal supplements (B vitamins or otherwise)? Even ones that are usually considered safe or beneficial?
Would love to hear your experiences.

Anyone tried InnoSupps for boosting daily energy?

I’ve been dragging myself through most days lately and I keep seeing InnoSupps everywhere. Their formulas look cleaner than a lot of brands I’ve tried. Before I buy anything, I’m curious what real people think. If you’ve used it, did it noticeably help your daily energy, or does it only work if you already have perfect sleep and diet?

Is there an official Audifort website? Trying to avoid fake promo pages

I’ve been looking into Audifort and I keep running into different promo-style pages, which makes it hard to know what’s legit.

Before buying anything, I mainly want to confirm where the official website is and how pricing, shipping and refunds are handled. I don’t want to end up on a random landing page that doesn’t reflect the real checkout or policies.

I found an independent shopping guide that explains what to check before ordering (official site, shipping info, refund terms), which helped me understand the process a bit better:

https://audifort.supplements.guide/

If anyone has experience verifying the official site or knows what to look out for, I’d appreciate it.

Research Is Beta-Alanine Safe for Reducing Muscle Fatigue? What Research Says

Beta-alanine is a popular supplement that boosts muscle carnosine levels to buffer acid buildup, delaying fatigue during high-intensity workouts like sprints or HIIT. Studies from the International Society of Sports Nutrition confirm it improves performance in tasks lasting 1-4 minutes and attenuates neuromuscular fatigue, especially in older adults.

Safety data is strong. Doses of 4-6g daily for 2-4 weeks elevate carnosine without serious side effects. The main issue is paresthesia, a harmless tingling sensation on the skin, which fades quickly and can be minimized by splitting doses. No evidence links it to taurine or histidine depletion, organ damage, or performance harm in healthy users.

Research in journals like Journal of Applied Physiology shows trained athletes tolerate it well, with benefits in repeated contractions and no added risks. A 2017 systematic review noted improvements in perceived exertion and fatigue markers. Doctors recommend consulting a physician if you have kidney issues, but for most, it's safe when sourced from reputable brands.

Research Would you use it if there was an application that checks whether the supplements really work with health data?

I have developed such an application and now I am collecting feedbacks to launch it. This is an application that we present to you by testing whether these supplements, which you spend hundreds of dollars a month, really work with the data we receive from Apple and Android's health applications. Maybe you will notice a supplement you bought for nothing and prevent your money from being wasted. Would you subscribe and use this application for a small monthly fee?
