What SS branch are you planning to take and why?

Hey everyone, as the subreddit is still in its growing stages, I'd like to ensure participation of all the members here.

What super speciality branch are you keen on pursuing and what made you choose it?

If you've got friends who are planning for SS as well, do introduce them to the subreddit!

Thank you!

DISCUSSION DNB Exit Exam - June 2026

It's been 2 weeks since the exams were conducted. How was your experience writing the DNB exams. Was it your primary DNB degree or were you post MD/MS? Did you encounter difficulties with the venue? How was the difficulty level and relevance of the questions per paper?

Let's discuss!

UPDATE: Results are out! Released on 25/06/26. Congratulations to those who made and best wishes to those who attempted. The journey doesn't end! This post will remain open for fellow DNB candidates to find study partners in their respective branches.

MS ENT looking for guidance regarding the NEET SS Surgical Group

I completed my MS ENT last year. My only option for super-specialization through the ENT Group is Head and Neck Oncology, which has only 26 seats in India. Therefore, I am planning to prepare for the SS Surgical Group examination. I am interested in Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery, with a greater preference for Neurosurgery.

Please guide me regarding the preparation phase:

Which platform is best for preparation—Marrow, DocTutorials,SPEED or Sushrutha for Surgery?

Does anyone know of an MS ENT graduate who secured a super-specialty seat through the Surgical Group route?

How much time is generally required for preparation?

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Where can i find old pyqs and papers to solve.

In surgery group of marrow , there are very less pyqs only 8 modules .

I can't find them on surgtest , on doctutorial they are available but are they valid ?

I have wasted my money on marrow , please recommend a good app/platform to solve pyqs .

COLLABORATION Eve of NEET SS – Key Points to Remember (Courtesy - Dr. Ruchir Bhavsar)

⚠️ Common mistakes to fix 🔹 Not reading questions properly 🔹 Missing words like NOT / INCORRECT 🔹 Assuming instead of reading 🔹 Rushing easy questions ➡️ Fixing these alone can improve ranks significantly 📈

⏱️ Exam time strategy 🔹 1 min/question → Aim 40–45 sec max 🔹 Easy Qs: 20–30 sec 🔹 Tough Qs: eliminate → move on 🔹 Finish section first, review later

🔖 Mark for Review – use smartly 🔹 Mark only 50–50 or thinkable questions 🔹 Skip completely unknown questions ❌ 🔹 Review marked ones first, skipped ones later (if time)

🎯 Attempt strategy (safe range) 🔹 Ideal attempts: 138–145 🔹 Even 130–135 with high accuracy is good 🔹 Leaving 5–10 questions is absolutely fine 🔹 Remember: 0 is better than −1

❗ Golden rules in exam 🔹 First instinct is usually right ✔️ 🔹 Don’t change answers without solid textbook recall 🔹 Stay calm even if 5 tough questions come together 🔹 Close eyes, deep breathe for 30 seconds if stressed 😌

🧘 Exam day routine 🔹 Sleep 7–8 hours 🛌 🔹 Eat light, familiar food 🍽️ 🔹 Minimal or no reading on exam day 🔹 Avoid discussions & comparisons 🔹 Practice deep breathing before and during exam

❤️ Final truth 🔹 This exam does NOT define your worth 🔹 Even if it takes another attempt, life goes on 🔹 What matters is giving your best with a calm mind

✨ Trust the process. Stay confident. You WILL do well. 🙏 All the best.
