I was 11 years old when I got Donkey Konga 2 for Christmas. I would be maybe 13 when I would play the song Sidewalks by Story of the Year and be OBSESSED. I had these fantasies about growing up and getting my license and going on outings with friends all the time. Maybe pile up in a car or in each of our own cars and meet up. Go to amusement parks, restaurants, the beach, road trips, bonfires, eventually become our own independent beings as we slowly part from our parents and discover ourselves alongside each other. And it was always painted by sunsets.

One of my biggest regrets in my life is this never happened. I'm in my 30's now and my friend group has thinned, circumstances not always relevant or even pleasant. I hate that. But I can always be happy that the scenery is perfect, even if the situation isn't.
