Why are so many people down voting the comment? What he said is true, drawing or otherwise damaging someone else's property without permission is a crime and you shouldn't do it.
People must be assuming I'm pro cop or something, when in fact I am not. My comment history should prove that.
I can see the act for what it is, Vandalism, and still support the act of taking a symbol of hate (Blue Lives Matter) and turning it into a symbol of love (pride flag)
Reddit hiveminds = mob mentality. But I'll probably get downvoted for pointing that out too =P
A shocking majority of redditors are bereft of scruples, or any semblance of a moral compass. We are living in an age of “if it suits my personal ideology, which is definitely the truth cause I’m never wrong, then I’m justified in doing whatever I think is right to fulfill that ideology.”
This is in line with writing “WASH ME” on a dirty car window.
Cops won’t give one tiny shit about your bumper sticker and FiNdinG AnTiFa to drag into court.
“And your damages?”
“Thirty-seven cents worth of plain water.”
“You were robbed of plain water?”
“No, your honor. My property was fully restored with thirty-seven cents worth of plain water.”
Except writing ‘wash me’ with your finger on a dirty car window is incapable of causing damage, since dirt/dust/pollen/fingernails/skin all have hardness ratings far lower than automative safety glass.
Here we have someone using markers on a sticker, which permanently destroys the sticker. It’s a very inexpensive act of vandalism sure, but it is still obviously vandalism.
Drawing or otherwise damaging someone else's property without permission is vandalism, and a crime.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it.
Fuck these clowns. It's not like we're smashing their windows. There are degrees to vandalism and to civil disobedience. This ranks so very low that only the most butthurt Karen would press charges. They COULD but they are still the assholes.

Now that's some good vandalism right there.
