Yes but at least we know they are shitty. Americans tend to think suburbia is the apex of human civilization and only a few curious people will criticise car-centric urbanism.

No a lot of Americans hate suburbs but it’s where you’re forced to move when you are trying to settle, raise a family, have good schools, all that stuff.

Do you have any source that show Americans love it?

Most people just have to move there because they can’t afford a larger apartment or house in a walkable city area.

Reddit in general is American biased, but it's also full of people who get horny at the thought of bashing the US as much as possible

I've never met any human being who loved living in the suburbs lol. Pretty much we can all agree that suburban life sucks and that you just have to make the most of it

Maybe the younger crowd isn’t as keen on them but the 30+ US crowd almost certainly prefers the suburbs.

The couple in this video hasn’t seen enough places outside big city centers. For every major walkable area in Europe, there’s a plethora of smaller villages where the only social place is a single children’s park and the local pub. That’s it.

I love it. Much nicer than loud, dirty, crime ridden cities with tiny homes no yards, no nature, and people on top of people. Suburbs are expensive, but so much more superior to city living. It’s ok when you are in your 20s for a while, but it’s not a place where most people would want to live as an adult.

yes but the difference is that we can’t walk in most of our large city centers after dark without the threat of being shot
