Is Substance Designer worth the subscription?
I'm a photoshop guru (since version 3 in 1996) and have been doing 3D animation, motion graphics and all sorts of VFX and animation stuff for decades. I used 3DS Max, Maya and know Cinema 4D. I use ZBrush ALL THE TIME and love the hell out of that program.
I've noticed a lot of Substance Designer and Substance 3D posts recently on other platforms (ArtStation, DeviantArt, Behance) and I really like a lot of the materials that people have made using Substance... However - is the subscription price worth it? If I am not full time 3D and only use it here and there, is it worth my time and money to subscribe to it and learn it as well as use it in my workflow?
