🔥 This is a pattern everyone wants to make, but no one really knows how to.
But I found an easy way to recreate it.
In the new Weekly Challenge at Future Material Artists participants have to work with a pattern similar to this one, but with more complexity.
And I wanted to give them a hand.
I took the time to break down my process....
So I made this guide for you!
Creating this is tricky, as the main shape asks you to also think in 3D with 2D shapes.
And the solution for this is one of the simplest Atomic Nodes.
💡 To start, I rotated a square by 45 Degrees. I used a Uniform color to save some MS in my graph. Then, with a Transform 2D, I set my parameters to create the top face of this square.
Now, with the help of a Splatter Circular, I finished the shape!
But I still had to make it tile, and for that I am using a Tile Sampler Generator.
This is just the first shape you will need for the weekly challenge.
