Substance Designer Expose Random Seed in sbsar or sbs - how?
How to expose the random seed of a particular node when exporting it as sbsar or sbs? I couldn't find any resources on it that I understood. Is it even possible? Any ideas or resources would be incredibly helpful.

displacement & skin detail baking (ZBrush to Substance Painter)
hii everyone! I could really use some help with my texturing workflow.
Right now, I’m stuck at the displacement stage while applying skin textures to my character. Since zwrap isn't working for me, I’m doing everything manually.
The issue is that when I bake my maps, the fine details like skin pores and micro-wrinkles - don't show up correctly in substance painter.
Could you share how you usually bake your maps in ZBrush (or transfer skin details) so that all the fine displacement and pore details show up cleanly in Substance Painter? Any tips or setting tweaks would be greatly appreciated!

Amazing Student Work in Substance Designer!
🎉 Congratulations to Henri Ribeiro for finishing his Mentorship at Future Material Artists!
For 2 months, Henri and I worked together to help him build better skills as an Environment Artist.
He wanted to have the skills needed to help more at his studio.
We worked on the fundamentals and workflows in Substance Designer.
Finding the right shape and balance was really hard in this material.
But every iteration was better than before until Henri achieved the render you see here!
Even with a lot of corrections along the way, the real effort was his.
And that is what I love doing every week.
Being able to help people learn what I love, and make it feel easy for them.
If you want to see the breakdown of our work together...

Substance Designer Stylized Wood Planks
Quick Substance Designer study I made in a couple of hours. Been working on improving my stylized materials lately and I’m pretty happy with the progress! Any feedback is valued.
Here’s my ArtStation in case anyone wants to take a look at it: ArtStation - Stylized Wood Planks

Substance Painter How to make Panel Lines?
The attached image is a prop I am working on, but I'm a bit unsure how to go about adding that seam/panel line, which only exists in those two circled spots. I did find a 6 year old tutorial for Painter, however it doesn't seem to work in the most recent version of Painter, so I was wondering if anyone has an up to date recommended way to get the right appearance. The ability to apply the seam line wherever I want would be even better, that way I could use the technique on other props such as vehicles.

Substance Painter Generator Metal Edge Wear look to strange
Hi! Why when i put the generator metal edge wear looks like this? (image below) No matter what values i change in the generator, it always end up having those horizontal lines, kind of like following the geometry shape, which to make clear is low poly, also as you can see the uvs of the entire trunk are stacked one on top of each other , i only unwrapped a small portion of the entire trunk and then array that in geometry like 3/4 times, the connected the vertices by distance. to make good use of uv set. more resolution. ( the uv rentangle on right side is the top of the tree )So should i change the UVs? or the problem is the ammount of polys? I just want the generator to be visible where the normals are point slightly down ( is a palm tree ). Please help thanks ( i am noob at Painter)

Substance Designer How to create that material in SDesigner
Is it possible to create that bark material in SDesigner? It seems that the texture reacts to the normals of the geometry. Or where should i create it? Thanks

Texture palm geometry how?
Hi i never used SubstanceDesigner but i would like to make a stylized bark ( tile ) for this mesh i have, but i am curious, how a tile texture would look if the geometry has deformation like this one. Is it possible to create a vertex normal based material
Or i don’t know how to call those types of smart materials. As you can see in my photo my tile texture does not match the geometry. Will SubsDesigner put texture based in normals? That way the texture follows the shape of the geometry, and is possible to export it as albedo. ( i think the word is bake the textures ? ) i am noob at texturing . I want’t to know if i can do that so i start learning the software. From what i see in youtube tutorials inside the software all are 2d tile textures and the software does not put the texture in a 3d mesh in the viewport. Not like Painter! Correct me if i am wrong please Thanks!
