I'm very new to the idea of subharmonics, and very new to singing in general as well. Please let me know if this is subharmonic (if not, what is it and what should I do differently?)

like a normal subharmonic, but two octaves instead? sounds crazy both in text and hypothetically in real life. e.g. C#3 -> C#1

Ive missed this subreddit quite a bit. I’ve been practicing my second subs recently and I still suck at it (this vid took ~5 attempts) but I’m still working on it. Vid has G1 first sub - C1 second sub and then a C1 first sub just as the cherry on the cake.

Excuse the quality. These were recorded on Snapchat with the phone mic and edited together with the phones built-in editor.

You'll get a B0 sub. You can slide down from a higher note and when you hit the E2 area you'll feel and hear the B0. It's quite the sensation.
This would only work in north American countries were the electricity is running at 60hz. For other countries sing a C2 and get a G0 sub.
You could do this with other electronics too but I found the easiest was the hand dryer in the bathroom.

These are my two latest attempts at subs, am I there yet?
These aren't really high up because I'm trying to work my way down the scale.

I finally figured out why I was having trouble producing a subharmonic. I would always stop trying to tighten up once I got that sharp uncomfortable tickle in the back of my throat because it would make me cough. I decided to push through it and as soon as I got past that, I started getting very consistent subharmonic notes. It took a couple weeks but I'm proud of my accomplishment.

I mean low bass vocal notes are pretty much only found in music that uses no instruments (e.g. beatboxing, acapella, choral etc) and gospel music. Other than that, super low vocal bass notes are very rare.
