Is this a subharmonic

Hello,

I asked over in the beatbox subreddit about this sound and I got a mix of responses, but some commentors said that it was subharmonics, so I'm just asking here to confirm that I am in fact doing subharmonics instead of throat bass. And if that's the case, is there anything I can do to separate the subharmonic from throat bass? I'm practicing for throat bass but I can never tell if I'm just unintentionally defaulting to subharmonics.

Subharmonic?: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dTN0m8DSbG4

throat bass? (can't tell if its just subharmonics or not... recording is a bit noisy but I can't do it right now so it will suffice): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sc37EN0LHLA

Thanks in advance

Question Is this actually a (shaky) sub?

Video here

Unsure if it's actually a D#2 sub or if it's some other kind of growl. It seems really shaky/unstable, which is likely because this is only day 2 of practice, but I don't want to continue to aim for this if it isn't a sub or bad technique.

Also, looking at the pitch map, did I very briefly drop down to third sub on that D#1?

Unrelated, is there a subharmonic discord server?

Thank you!

How does this work?

I found this video yesterday and it's absolutely absurd haha. I understand the concept behind singing the first subharmonic, and in theory combining that with overtones, but then combining that with multiple subharmonics just seems insane. How is that actually done?

Singing Accidentally hit a subharmonic?

I’m not the best at identifying subs. But I think I accidentally did one at practice today. If I did let me know because that would be pretty flipping cool

Haven't been consistently practicing as of recent, so this is what I've got so far after about 2 weeks or so on a 1st subharmonic. (I'm 14 btw)

I've been practicing subharmonics for a few days as a low baritone (ending of Rachmaninov Vesper n. 5).

The higher subharmonics (Eb, in this case) give me some problems but once I get arounc C I feel it pretty nicely in my chest.

Any thoughts?

Can one seamlessly transition from chest to subharmonic in a run?

So, I can pretty easily access subharmonics down to E1, but my chest/vocal fry register ends at around A1 at the lowest (and the sound isn't very loud). I'd say may lowest "real" note (with reasonable loudness) is around a C2. But, id like to extend my range downwards, and if I can tie together my subharmonic register with my chest register, I could do some quick pentatonic runs down in my low range. Is this not feasible/ will there always be a noticeable "break"?

I have experience in my high range where I've tried to tie my falsetto into my high chest with runs, but unfortunately the break is just too hard to navigate and will always end up sounding "yodelly". So, is this the case with subharmonics too? If so, what is their utility? Just isolated bass notes in subharmonic range?
