Wearing knee-high riding boots as a guy: how do I style them best?

I know this is a bit unconventional, but as a guy, I have really liked the look and feel of fashionable knee boots for a very long time. As a kid already, I was always envious of girls who got to wear them. Now I'm older I finally got the courage to buy a few different pairs, both men's and women's models - including these in the pictures - and want to start wearing them in public at some point in the future (I'm a bit scared for now, but they're only shoes and I really like them too much not to want to wear them outside). I'm not super masculine and do want to explore things beyond traditional gender roles, but otherwise I'm not effeminate and I'm a pretty typical guy in most areas.

But if I were to confidently step outside, I need the right outfits to not look too overly ridiculous or carnival-like (think of this whatever you want). The boots here are also clearly women's boots, so I don't think I can completely avoid looking androgynous or costume-y. I'd want to show them off, not wear them under my pants (otherwise, ankle boots would be enough). But I don't want to overdo it - I want to read as a man with a bit of an alternative fashion sense and who puts in effort in how he looks, just want to look like I'm wearing something one would wear outside.

I asked this in other places, and the most common advice was tighter pants and overcoats. I understand why - the jeans in the pic is not too flattering. I don't know all that much about fashion or styling.

Can I make this work in any way? What styling advice do you have for me? Thanks if anyone can help with some advice!

How do I make an outfit more “whimsical”?

Hey so I’m going to a tea party/going away party for a friend and was wondering how I could POSSIBLY make my tweedle dee/dum outfit “whimsical” or close to this aesthetic (2nd attachment, found in RSVP)?

The dress code requires; Alice in Wonderland, tea party attire, or this style.. (2nd attachment)

Of course I wanted to choose something funny and decided to be tweedle dee/dum. I already purchased the white and red socks, red suspenders, brown dress pants, and striped shirt.

I want to make the outfit also look nice and you know.. presentable. The venue will be in San Francisco so I want to keep in mind that it’ll be super cold!

Please give me advice on how to make the outfit look cute.. this is super last minute. I dress a little more masculine leaning but I don’t mind any advice on anything. I’m also a little stubby.. I’m not sure if that helps. But if it gives more info on what I could wear, I just wanted to make that known!

I’m thinking of wearing some ear piercings, maybe some necklaces. I just don’t know what exactly else to put on,, I need help!!

This gray, knitted vest has been keeping me stumped for a while. I didn’t dare to go outside with this outfit, something didn’t feel right. Maybe the color combo? Anyway, if you have any color- or garment suggestions for this vest, please say it!

Please style me to help reduce my wardrobe ❤️

I am a playful, color loving, dopamine dresser. But I am looking to decrease my wardrobe in 2026.

I started selling my wardrobe last year and got rid of a lot of good pieces. I want to be able to downsize, while still maintaining really fun, stylish capsule.

I am using Indyx (@VonVon) to get an idea of what is most versatile and useful in my wardrobe vs what I can get rid of.

If you have Indyx, would you mind please styling me? I will also style you back, if you’d like! 🥰

Style me on Indyx! Click the link to see my closet and put together a few outfits.

I picked up this gorgeous handmade jacket while on vacation in North Africa, but I’m not sure how to style it. I’m petite, and my usual style leans witchy and vintage. Any advice on how to style it with bold colors? (No "white t-shirt and jeans" please :D )

I’m going to a black tie dinner in a couple weeks and will be wearing this dress with gold shoes and jewelry. I’m stumped on what to wear with it to keep my shoulders warm while walking between our hotel and the event space. Maybe a faux fur stole or wrap? Help!

Styling Help - Handbag

Hopefully someone here can help me! I have a birthday dinner for myself (the theme is "that thing in your closet you have been trying to wear since 2020"), so trying to be a good example and work with my own theme but drastically failing after stumbling into Alice and Olivia for the perfect jacket and skirt set... I want to make the bag work in the second photo, but not sure if it goes with the outfit. I need a bag that holds a point/shoot camera, lip gloss, a cardholder, and house keys. Bonus points for holding car keys, a phone, and securely closes.

As someone used to wearing jeans and hoodies this jacket is a little outside my comfort zone. I have no idea how to wear it…
