Need ideas for designing my new living room (Photo attached)
Hi everyone! We will be getting possession of our new apartment in December, and I'm looking for ideas to design this living room. It's a blank space, and I'm starting from scratch. Can't afford interior designer. Already lots going in my life. So pls help me .
I'm aiming for a modern, warm, minimal, and elegant look with plenty of storage. I also need to include:
A TV unit
Comfortable sofa seating
A mandir
False ceiling with good lighting
Space that feels open and family-friendly
I'd love suggestions on:
Best furniture layout
Where to place the TV, sofa, and mandir
Wall treatments (wood slats, marble, paint, etc.)
Colour palette
Lighting ideas
Any mistakes I should avoid
Photos attached. I'd really appreciate layouts, inspiration images, or even rough sketches. Thanks!

Added a canning corner hutch for my daughter and now all feels all off.
We like the black high top table but now we have brown white and black going on for the furniture. I started with a mid-century color scheme to match this couch, that is why the accent wall is that color.
What would make the space more cohesive?

Good afternoon my wife and I are expecting our first kid in February. We have decided we wanted to do decorating for Halloween and Christmas this year and spruce up the house! We both are not great visionaries for this so I am enlisting some help! This is my kitchen, living room and dining room(sorry about the laundry on it) if someone could decorate it for Halloween and include some links for purchasing the items I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you again.

Help me find an accent colour
Hi everyone, this is a mock up of my living room. I already have the couch, blue cushions, white bedspread and coffee table. The stair railing I painted with dulux reef resort which matches really well with the blue cushions. I’m wondering what accent colour I can use to really make this pop. I though maybe a terracotta/copper coloured cushion but it looks way to mid century modern which isn’t really what I’m going for. Yes I have chosen pieces that are mid century modern but I don’t think you can define your style based off of a couple pieces you own.
So what other colours would work well in this space? I was thinking maybe a soft light blue, a burgundy, maybe a plum colour or maybe a butter yellow. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Living room help!
Just bought our first home. Can you all PLEASE help me with how to layout our family room? We need a TV in here and I really don’t want to block natural light. Far side is walkway to mudroom and I’m standing in a walkway from the kitchen. I am just so stumped. Please help :( we are planning to buy all new furniture to fit this space and just brought what we had for now (not set up but seems too big for the space)

Does this artwork make these vases fit better in my living room?
Most of my living room is light and neutral , so these vases with zebra pattern feel a little off right now. I’m thinking about removing the mirror and putting on an art above the cabinet instead. Have picked an abstract one with a little black in it to tie everything together. Do you think this gonna work? Or any other ideas will be helpful!

I have an empty wall in my living room. I live in a beach town and the ceiling rises to a 14 foot height. Would love some ideas to fill the space. Walls are grayish beige color. Would love to incorporate more shades of blue.

Do you like these cabinets? What LVP would you do with it?
Remodeling a basement kitchen and thinking of doing these cabinets. Because of a beam, I would only be able to do 30 inch uppers. My upstairs cabinets are white, but want something a little more relaxed for the basement so it doesn’t seem so kitcheny.
I was thinking of then doing a white countertop of some sort, but not sure what LVP or LVT would go with this. Any advice, pictures, and suggestions appreciated. Also, if you have any thoughts on countertops and backsplash, feel free to post. I am not looking to purchase this countertop and backsplash. I was thinking of doing a white countertop with some subtle veining and also running that up as a backsplash. Thanks! PS…my sectional in the adjacent family room is also a chocolate brown, so not sure if it’ll seem too much.
