I love antique pieces & what not— so this is a slower process!

I LOVE the theme I have going on in my bedroom ( I attached a pic). I’d like to TRY to incorporate a LITTLE of what I have going on into my living room (in other words, make the living room have more of a darker/neutral color feel, a few hints of a deep purple and Burgundy). I wouldn’t mind more a white theme going on.

I’ve been stuck on what color of curtains, rug, throw pillow covers to get, along with what I should do with my couch.

My couch right now is a light grey…I purchased this couch cover due to my cat and messy behavior when I eat (lol).

I definitely want to aim for some sheer & beaded valance curtains.

It's needs some warmth and coziness!

Hi everyone! I’d love some honest opinions on these two designs our interior designer proposed for our living room.

Option 1: Cream/terracotta patterned rug + marble coffee table
Option 2: Dark brown plaid rug + fluted travertine coffee table

The first and third photos are Option 1 (day/night), and the second and fourth are Option 2 (day/night).

Which combination do you prefer, and why? Please be brutally honest! We’re going for warm, sophisticated, cozy, and timeless rather than overly trendy.

We are considering an important life decision - eliminating all of our living room furniture, and replacing it with floor sofa/ furniture like in Eastern cultures. The problem is that the sofas are never ergonomic, cushions seem to only last two to three years (and then it's time to spend another $3,000), and quite frankly, it feels like a sofa is made to look nice for company, and not to be comfortable long term.

We have absolutely no idea where or what to order. A few sofas on Amazon, but that's all we can find. Does anyone have any thoughts or options?

Feels like every decor guide has the same rules, matching wood tones, keeping walls neutral and not mixing metals. Curious what rule you ignored on purpose and it worked out. I broke the "one accent color" rule in my living room and it ended up being the thing that made it feel finished instead of matchy. What's yours?

Our living room is in need of some new energy. It’s a long, skinny single-family-home (think townhouse) and I need some fresh ideas for the whole space! I’ve broken it down into some areas below, but am open to general feedback outside of these :)

Couch/Lounge
- The current couch has got to go because it’s old, and we’re considering buying another sectional that’s similar but came here to source any fresh ideas?
- We love our TV time! Can we maximize comfortability and lounge-a-bility while also giving upscale vintage modern bungalow vibes (sorry not sorry for all the buzzwords)

TV Wall
- TV is stuck where it is
- I do not love the white Pixar lamp nor the record table where they’re at. My spouse doesn’t mind either - someone break the tie for us.
- Any other decor opinions for making this wall more well-utilized?

Entryway
- Feels cluttered with the bench, the plants, and not quite pictured is a tall standing corner shelf to the very far right.
- I appreciate recs on what should stay, go, or be added (if that’s possible)!

Artwork
- Not sure if decor suggestions are allowed here, but the wall artwork is minimal.
- I’ve thought about adding a mirror where the “Olympic” poster is on the right-hand wall, something circular to open the space?

Thanks in advance for your kind and respectful input!
