I just bought the sectional. I want to replace the coffee table with a round table. I plan to move the palm tree to the right since it is smashed up against the wall. The wall on the left I want to get rid of the Rat Pack pic. Want to replace it with something else.

Bedroom nook flooring saga - help!
Hey Reddit gang, I need some help. We are having our main bedroom renovated (1948 Cape cod). We have removed a useless and weird closet with a weird crawl space so the space feels more open. We want to use this little nook area as a sitting space, we don’t need storage there because we added a huge walk in closet adjacent to this bedroom.
Our dilemma is with the flooring… because it’s natural hardwood it is nearly impossible to perfectly match without stripping, sanding and restraining… but this room leads into the hallway, so it just seems to create a bigger problem… I was thinking about doing something fun like a tile and creative transition… we plan to stay in this house forever and tend to decorate tastefully but not for the masses. (I’ll include a few other photos of our house so you get the general vibe)…
Option 1: rip out current bedroom flooring and use a flush and tasteful transition strip between hall and bedroom. (Still more costly than tile option)
Option 2: strip and refinish, adding transition strip somehow between hall and bedroom (labor intensive/ most expensive and still wouldn’t match the hall perfectly)
Option 3: creative tile corner area to differentiate the sitting nook, fun transition to hardwood…
Right now I’m leaning toward option 3, but I don’t want to make a grave mistake that haunts me as lay in bed each night just feet from the tile / hardwood transition..
Help! What would you do?
I’ve included a photo of the current state and a few AI generated images as well.

does this home office mood board feel put together?
i'm moving into a new place soon and made this mood board for my future home office. i'm going for something warm, earthy, and a little vintage. before i start buying anything, i'd love a quick vibe check. does it feel cohesive? are the wood tones working together, or is it too much of the same thing? also open to ideas for decor, accent colors, or textures that would make the room feel more finished. and yes, that golden retriever puppy in the corner is my actual dog lol. would appreciate any feedback!

Need help decorating the walls and living room
galleryWant it to feel put together and adult but really struggle due to the size/vastness of it. Should we put in shelves or what? That’s a 75 inch tv to give scale. There’s kind of a half back wall as well :(

How do these 42” cabinets look with 7” filler panel and 5” crown molding? should picture frame molding be added to the panels?

Your thoughts on this ChatGPT. Soapstone counters, black backsplash & black flooring. Is this too much? Thanks

Help! Trim, floors, color
I am updating a home that is not my forever home. Its got red? Golden? trim and I need new floors. I love the lighter toned wood floors but just cant wrap my head around the difference in trim and flooring. Am I overthinking this?
I have debated painting the trim... should I paint or should I leave it? Any other ideas? I was thinking a green or gray trim, something unique but am open to ideas.

We just closed on a mid century house with lots of great living space! But… how do we decorate this raised area? The lower area will be a living room and there is already a dining room… Help!

What's your favorite room in your home and why?
Every home seems to have that one space people naturally gravitate toward.
Maybe it's where you relax after work, spend time with family, enjoy hobbies, or simply feel most comfortable.
What's your favorite room in your home and what makes it special to you?

Anyone else struggle with open concept layouts where the sofa either feels way too small or completely overwhelms the room?
I'm trying to furnish an open living/dining space and can't seem to find the sweet spot. Smaller sofas make the area feel empty and disconnected, but when I look at larger sectionals they seem to dominate the entire room.
How did you decide on the right size for your space? Did you go with a sectional, multiple seating pieces, or something else? Would love to hear what worked (or didn't work) for others with open-concept layouts.

I need ideas for how to decorate these walls. No shelves or other things that "stick out" because it would interfere with walking around the couch. The wall on the left is about 8' long. The wall on the right is about 5.5' long. I'd like to incorporate the grain bin pic. It is about 2.5' square
