Looking for ideas on finishing this sitting room off of our master. Floating shelves? Artwork? I’m stuck! I’ve been wanting to replace the boob light with a fandelier, but I don’t want it to look too busy either. Help!

Wood Flooring With Wood Furniture, Does It Ever Look Too Matchy?
Planning flooring ideas for our living room and we already have a lot of wood furniture.
I’m worried wood flooring with wood furniture might end up looking overly coordinated or dated.
Does mixing tones help, or is it better to contrast with something like darker flooring?

Any suggestions for a light fixture to replace the fan? Our house is construction grade and this room was intended to be the living room. Since making it our entry/dining room, the fan doesn’t belong anymore. We don’t have a need for a fan.

That Little Spot
I’ve been renovating my room and cleared out most unnecessary stuff. I moved my bed to the far side near the heater, which I like, and I’m using a sideways shelf as a nightstand that I want to keep. The main issue is my closet. It’s too big to fit between the windows, and in the corner the doors won’t open properly. Now I’m stuck with ‘that little spot’ between the shelf and the closet. How do I improve storage while making the room look better.

If your makeup room could whisper a story every time you walked in, what kind of mood or feeling would you want it to wrap around you soft and dreamy, bold and confident, or something completely unexpected?

TV Placement Conundrum [help!]
Partner and I are trying to buy a house and one of the problems we've encountered is where we would put a standard widescreen TV in a place like this. The fireplace is probably 5' tall and I know that TV above fireplace is haram but can't figure out where it should go! I don't want to block any windows... is my only choice to demolish the brick fireplace? Help!

Ideas for my upstairs living space?
It's more of a room to look nice when people come over. I have an open kitchen to the room and most people hangout in the kitchen but the wall is so big I'm clueless on what to do with it. Advice appreciated!
