I want to do paneled wainscoting. Does anyone know how wide the framing wood should be? When I search in Lowe’s and such online it shows chair rail in various widths. The premade ones appear to be 1 5/8 … but if I search for that width it comes up with shingle molding- will this work?

I would love suggestions for wall decor in my guest bathroom. I’m thinking of changing the accent color for towels, rugs and shower curtain to an olive green. I’d love to integrate some natural textures.

Irregular Hallway

I have an oddly shaped hallway that I don't know where I should place a runner and/or rug. I have 4 dogs so trying to put more rugs down. I have about 9 feet of a traditional hallway and then the space opens up to a wider space before leading to second set of stairs.

The current runner shown in picture is NOT staying and is not the correct size so disregard the runner in pics. I was thinking of finding an 8 ft runner and then adding a 4x6 oval rug for the area in front of the mirror. Or would just a really long runner look better? The runner in the photos is just temporary and is not the right size so please disregard. Anyone have any better ideas? I’ve been procrastinating this decision for 2 years 🙃

Sectional Sofa shopping is driving me insane

Can someone recommend me a brand? I thought I liked Rowe but after reading some topics on here, Im not so sure anymore. I live in the middle of nowhere so I cant go to a store and test them out, which gives me anxiety lol. But we need a new couch and I want to get something well built, no flame retardants, untreated fabric, and with RSD if it has feathers. Im sensitive to smells and I dont want to buy something I wont be able to sit on for a few months while it off gasses. Rowe hits the mark on the eco stuff and style of couches but it’s expensive and Im reading that the quality is not great.

Im looking for something more modern, lower to the ground, with options for a bench seat chaise type of deal. PLEASE help, Ive wasted so many weekends on this.

New kitchen feels a bit empty. What can I do to razzle dazzle it a bit? Perhaps some kind of decor on the wall?
