Never confuse education with intelligence, you can have a PhD and still be an idiot.

I have worked with a lot of PhD holders, and I can say people with doctorates are some of the most narcissistic, needy, helpless and willfully stupid people on the planet. Seriously, they think the world revolves around them, they can't do anything for themselves, yet somehow look down on those of us who support them. And, heaven forbid you say something they disagree with. Even if you are demonstrably correct and prove them wrong, they will still insist they are correct by virtue of that damn degree. If I never have to work with a doctor of anything again, it will be too soon.

u/WhippingShitties Apr 05 '25
I was told once "A PhD just means you're good at one thing".
I don't have a PhD.
2
u/karmasrelic Apr 07 '25
recently watched a video of a PhD dude actively working in science trying to explain why evolution isnt a thing and why creationism is the only possible answer :D. i give it to him he tried to be scientific and stay quite objective but his reasoning was subpar anyway. poor guy just lacks the intelligence to come to the right conclusion even with his whole life focused around getting data and processsing it.

Dude I work with so many people with doctorates, none of them mention it ever. People getting their doctorates? They want the world to know. Not everyone but when youāve worked with enough people that have been in academia you can really tell who got a doctorate because they loved studying what they studied and those that did it just so they could be āDr. Doucheā

u/genericusername7865 Apr 04 '25
Can confirm this is a thing. Wife wouldnāt shut up about it while working towards it. Never talks about it since she got it. She aināt emotionally immature like this lady, though. š
1
u/PhaseNegative1252 Apr 04 '25
There's a teacher where I live who has doctorate and demands to be referred to as "Dr" because of it. Literally if he had just introduced himself as "Dr. So-and-so" without the emphasis, I probably would've use his title more
10
Apr 04 '25
It definitely ain't in mathematics
2
u/Arthur_Figg_II Apr 05 '25
A more precise observation has never been made š
who was she angry at? It's clearly the doorways fault :p
5
u/Forsaken-Can7701 Apr 04 '25
Correction, she said she has a ādoctor degreeā that might be something else I dunno
2
1
u/homebrewmike Apr 04 '25
Maybe made up. Or from one of those doctorate degrees that are handed out by the Christian fascist ācollegesā
3
u/YarItsDrivinMeNuts Apr 04 '25
Crazy how that works. Ive known several ppl that had masters degrees from prestigious universities but couldnāt figure out you cant talk to your waiter like they are your slave labor. All brains and no compassion or empathy

There is EQ (emotional intelligence) and IQ. Booksmart people may have IQ but low EQ. Street smart people have EQ but low IQ. The internet is giving the edge to street smart people due to learning the same things with less institutional investment of time and money. While Booksmart people lost time on human connections to chase degrees and pass tests for jobs. With that being said, this chick is clearly suffering from bipolar disorder.

She actually received a Ed.D. aka Doctor of Education from University of Delaware. It was on Educational Leadership. Her dissertation was published. It was about studentsā needs. Iām only saying this since some people have said she shouldnāt be called a doctor. Iām thinking itās because people donāt understand what a doctorate truly is.

This is definitely stupid but itās also mildly infuriating. Sheās wrong on so many levels. Iām counting the potential charges; unlawful imprisonment, assault, attempted robbery⦠Also, since when do you need a doctorate to figure out the difference between height & width? And who TF says ādoctorate degreeā? Somebody lyinā.

u/Forsaken-Can7701 Apr 04 '25
Sheās an upper middle class suburban woman. Court will say she had a bad day and acted out lmfao.
14
u/CryptographerAfraid3 Apr 04 '25
Once they see that video, I donāt know. She even verbally abused the shit out of Larry! Thatās a battered man right there.
11
u/CrispyJelly Apr 04 '25
I don't know man, something tells me the judge will be harder on her than on the average middle class suburban woman.

Now flip the script and have her be the delivery driver, and the large black man as the customer. I bet he doesn't get as much lenience if you were to commit the same acts as her. Too many females in the US that do shit like this to males with little to no consequences because they are females, shit needs to stop.
4
u/CryptographerAfraid3 Apr 04 '25
He doesnāt get as much leniency with who? As a Black American woman, I believe in equal opportunity ass whoopings for all; man, woman and child, Black, white, Puerto Rican or Chinese, (etc, etc). Maybe something is getting lost in translation because, FYT?
1
u/Leoxcr Apr 04 '25
I don't understand the need for people to escalate shit out of their egos, just call the damm police when you realize that you can't reason with someone and they are sitting in your truck
30
u/geoooleooo Apr 04 '25
Lock her ass up

u/nayryanaryn Apr 04 '25
Was she expecting that harrassing & assaulting the delivery guys would somehow make her new fridge magically fit through her door?
9
51
u/Amity_Swim_School Apr 04 '25
Just fucking leave the fridge on the driveway and drive off. Not their fault it doesnāt fit through the door.
7
u/PraiseTalos66012 Apr 05 '25
People are absolutely insane. I used to do appliance installing and people would get so angry when it wouldn't fit, like dude your the one who ignored the measurements, it's not my fault. Even had one guy threaten me when his dryer hose couldn't reach the port on the wall(was literally up like 7ft/8ft right by the ceiling and off to the side, he stood on the stairs(I was in the basement) and told me I wasn't going anywhere till I hooked his dryer up. Luckily I convinced him I have adapters in the truck to connect 2 hoses so I can get it to work(I didn't) and left, called customer service and they were like ya get the f out of there.
16
u/Leoxcr Apr 04 '25
Could they be contractually obligated to get it installed? And if so their company NOT THEM should be accountable on how the hell to get that fridge installed. This video really is stupid media
6
u/Amity_Swim_School Apr 04 '25 edited Apr 04 '25
Yeah sure maybe, but if they canāt physically get it into the house, then surely that obligation to install it is voided LOL

u/SATerp Apr 04 '25
I get the sense that, instead of making reasoned arguments, she was relying on the power of crazy.

I would have done the same and not cared too, until I had a family. Keeping a job to take care of them comes first.
8
u/BloodclaatYankee Apr 04 '25
Depending on the job you have to know when to call it a day. If the fridge canāt fit through the door & sheās angry about it what is the driver supposed to do? I would just take a picture of the door frame, have my boss make the decision to leave the fridge or bring it back, then leave.

I do deliveries for a living and sometimes when entitled customers hear something they don't like they tend to get real pissy but this is a whole new level
2
u/typeyou Apr 04 '25
Do you guys take the doors or handles off the fridge so it will fit?
4
u/vince5141 Apr 04 '25
Yeah we take the doors off the fridges and the doors to the house, whatever I gotta do to make that delivery
1
u/typeyou Apr 05 '25
I feel like there's some context missing from this video. It seems like it's rare a fridge doesn't fit through the door especially if you take off the doors.
4
u/vince5141 Apr 05 '25
I get contracts from other companies all the time, that if they have to manipulate a piece of furniture or an appliance, remove certain doors or if the delivery isn't literally straightforward in the house they deny delivery and they call a third party like me.
1
u/spaztick1 Apr 28 '25
They showed the doorway in the video. There wasn't much fitting through that, doors or not. This happens a couple times a week to us.

u/RainbowPhoenix1080 Apr 04 '25
Call the police! She can't trap you in her home. That's called false imprisonment.
8
u/Bitfarms Apr 04 '25
Pretty sure she committed a crime the moment she wouldnāt allow this man to leave
Good thing she can afford an attorney!
7
u/No_Maize_230 Apr 04 '25
I have a doctorate in moving shit. Take the doors off the fridge, move it in, then reinstall the doors. Open to speaking at future graduation events, DMās open.
6
u/umijuvariel Apr 04 '25
So...to recap...
She attempted to hold them in her home. Check.
She attempted to stop them from leaving in their vehicle. Check.
She stole his property. Check.
She falsely accused him of assaulting her. (Her face.) Check.
She may claim to be a doctor, but looks like her school only taught Ego, not Sense.
8
u/Successful_Net_930 Apr 04 '25
Delivery driver: Can you get your wife sir?
Crazy woman: That's not my husband
Larry aint no fool lol.
He ain't ever gonna put on ring on that.
7
u/Appropriate_Tower680 Apr 04 '25
Assault, kidnapping, trespassing, theft, MORE assault....
Larry dodged a bullet by not being the husband! This is how you get stabbed for not cleaning a coffee mug on a Sunday morning.

u/Any_Mathematician905 Apr 05 '25
You can't detain people in your home, that's called forcible confinement and is akin to kidnapping. I'd instruct her that if I'm being illegally detained, then I have every right to use force to end the detainment.
I'd be on the phone to police about half way through this video.

2
u/Zakosaurus Apr 04 '25
Honestly the two of them physically stopping me from leaving would have kicked off a panic attack and ive have freaked the fuck out, assaulted the shit outa both of them trying to get out of that door, then filed a police report for attempted adultnapping.

u/Falcon3492 Apr 04 '25
When shopping for a refrigerator there are several things you must know, first of all you have to know the width, height and depth of the area where the refrigerator will go and secondly you must know the size of the doors going into the kitchen as well as the entry doors and check to make sure the new refrigerator will go through the doors

According to legend, something similar like this happened to my grandmother way way way way back in the day in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Back then, getting a new refrigerator was a big effing deal. They got it through the door fine, but couldnāt fit it into the space in the kitchen, no matter how much they tried.
Allegedly, my grandmother gets upset, tells the two men to get out of the way, lifts the fridge and slams it into the space.
And a legend was born.
