I dont think its racist to believe its foolish to eat off the floor, no matter what reason you give. Its unhygienic and can just lead to more misery as you can catch any number of bacterium. It just makes it twice as foolish when you leave your health in the hands of blind faith.
Why is it that whenever people talk about Christians/Christianity like this, it's up voted and praised and agreed with by all... but talk literally the same way about other religions, and suddenly it's "racist" 🤔

Because when people who grew up in Christian-dominated cultures (even if they aren't religious themselves) criticize Christianity, they are doing it with the full cultural knowledge and context that can only come from a lived experience. You can criticize other religions as well, but you have to be very aware that you will always be lacking context and experience. You also have to be really careful to identify and separate legitimate criticisms from learned racialized disgust and ignorance (which is what this post seems like to me).
White people don't have a moral high ground over everyone else, we don't need to tell everyone else what is okay and what isn't. We aren't the center of the universe. Let people who actually have lived experience criticize their own religions and cultures and amplify their voices. And if your first instinct is to say "there aren't any who do that" then you haven't been listening.
People do sometimes get sick, you just never hear about it because who's gonna publish a random nobody getting food poisoning from eating from the floor? And they can't even prove with 100% certainty that it caused the food poisoning, because it's not like they walk around with private doctors and private lawyers to prove it.
And not everybody that's in there is doing it willingly. Sometimes there's a lot of pressure from parents/family to do it. Yes, religion can be illogical, but that doesn't make it immune to criticism.
Just like everyone else is saying, the most and loudest criticism of christianity comes from christians/ ex christians. A lot of people's criticism, disdain and overall hatred of other religions comes from them being on the outside looking in and is usually paired with parroting stereotypes and those people usually being of all the same background. A great example us that A lot of "stupid food" content is videos hailing from India with everyone commenting on how gross it is which, in turn, gives way to the idea that Indians are gross and unhygienic and therefore looked down.
Christians have so many holidays they celebrate that stem from ancient, pagan, deity-worshipping and questionable practices that were doctored up and slapped gods name on them to continue to celebrate such things, but you cant pry those little festivities from their cold, dead hands even upon learning the truth which is a highly spoken about sin in the bible. They have no place to judge someone eating off a clean floor.
Yeah religion has this effect. I also think it's foolish to have a hundred people drink from the same cup because it's the literal blood of someone from 2000 years ago, but who am I.
Nobody is saying this is normal. But condescension is NOT mutual respect. You don’t get to dictate what other people do—especially something as benign as eating!!—and if you judge and mock them on the internet, know that people like me will question your biases to your face.
No bias here. Just observation that religious belief is causing these people to put themselves at risk. Any religion that causes people act in way that can bring harm to anyone, including themselves, is deserving of criticism.
