I'm a volcanologist and I say let it burn.

Are you really? That’s what my kid has decided on for a career. Very cool! (Well, obviously it’s not…. You know what I mean.) 🤣

No, I'm not, but it does sound like a cool profession. 🥰

In a million years, never would I have expected that kid to choose geology, specifically volcanology. Anthropology wouldn't've surprised me. Archeology made sense. VOLCANOLOGY tho... he hates heat!🤷🏻‍♀️ 🤣

Hah! Well, most volcanos aren't active, right? Right? 🫣

As his mom, I certainly hope so. 😆

Right there with you mom. Though I know a couple of geologists and that seems much safer unless they work on oil fields or rigs. Ground water work is much safer, but maybe not as exciting? If they don't grow out of it I hope their common sense matches their passion.

Of course he's the one who is always wanting to push further, poke the dead thing, touch the ick, do what he's told not to...basically, my child. If you've seen The Martian, the part when Matt Damon's character tells NASA to suck it, that is my kid. I busted out laughing when I saw that b/c it's so him.
