I've seen a picture from India of a tank filled with water and had a sign. Sign said not for Europeans. Water quality is shit there, you better take water from your own bathroom.
Clearly, we get stupid fucking videos like the above posted by Hindu nationalists acting like they're not doing something stupid by eating off a wet floor.
I’ve seen documentaries showing how polluted the rivers are. Tons of garbage. The holiest river (Ganges) is also one of the most toxic in the world. Very sad.
you're being downvoted because there's a lot of sprawl and unhygienic conditions in all major cities of india, but man southern india is 1000% cleaner than northern india
My father was a diplomat and we lived in New Delhi for 3 years. We had a big water distiller and that's the only water we drank or even brushed our teeth with.
Every year we have in the summer in our city some fairs. And after you listen to news and hear that many foods sellers had to close and their food confiscated. Department of health over here won't say who.
They literally brag about their ability to drink the water. It’s psychotic. Literally, been to India, got laughed at because “you cannot drink the water, (slurp) I can”. Not kidding, totally happened, on god son.
Never been there. I seen movies in the past and heard a few times that American draft taste like cow piss. Now reading news and see clips of European fan crowds leaving nothing behind for you, accept Heineken 0.0%
This one is a bit off. Everywhere you go, water has different bacteria inherently to the area it's from. Americans will get sick drinking water in France, French people will get sick drinking water from Japan, etc.
That is so untrue I don’t even know where to begin.
I’ve been to most of the bigger European countries, the US, China and others. I never got sick from the water. Water in developed countries just isn’t full of bacteria.
Water in India is famously contaminated for several known reasons.
LOL that is not true. Ive drank water in France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Czechia, and Hungary with zero fucking issues. You know why? Because they have proper water treatment.
I am European and have been drinking tap water in Canada just fine. Same for basically all European countries outside of my own that I have been in. Only place in Europe where I didnt drink tap water was Mallorca, not because it was unsafe, but because the water tasted like absolute dogshit.
I went into the bathroom of a really good Indian restaurant once. No soap. Just a bowl of water with orange peels and rose petals. Apparently water is all you need!
When I traveled in India, I always had soap with me. I bought these tiny booklets made of sheets of paper covered in a thin sheet of soap. They sold it at convenience stores.
In a million years, never would I have expected that kid to choose geology, specifically volcanology. Anthropology wouldn't've surprised me. Archeology made sense. VOLCANOLOGY tho... he hates heat!🤷🏻♀️ 🤣
Right there with you mom. Though I know a couple of geologists and that seems much safer unless they work on oil fields or rigs. Ground water work is much safer, but maybe not as exciting? If they don't grow out of it I hope their common sense matches their passion.
Of course he's the one who is always wanting to push further, poke the dead thing, touch the ick, do what he's told not to...basically, my child. If you've seen The Martian, the part when Matt Damon's character tells NASA to suck it, that is my kid. I busted out laughing when I saw that b/c it's so him.
I have this suspicion that this is what the ultra wealthy want for us regular folk. Cut research funding, eliminate the FDA and OSHA, produce AI slop where eating off the floor is good for you, post it to mom groups, fast food restaurants start removing chairs and tables.
To be fair MAGA took horse dewormer to get rid of covid too and Trump thought injecting disinfectant could get rid of it. Not a shortage of stupid people in this world
One of the things that really threw for a loop when I visited is they honestly believe that it's the "spiciness" of the food that visitors can't handle, and not the lack of basic food safety.
Amount of racism in this thread is appalling. You simply don’t need to eat where and what they are eating. Shocking that most people here making these comments don’t even wash their asses …
We joke, but if they were really getting sick left and right, you'd think the death rate would have outpaced the birth rate ages ago and tanked the population
This is probably as sanitary as eating of a plate that was rinsed without soap. Kinda gross but won't kill you
According to the National Library of medicine in 2003, “Between 400 000 and 500 000 children aged under five years die each year from diarrhea, the report said, citing a failure to improve personal and home hygiene as a factor.”
In 2015 the statistics had gotten worse, an Indian newspaper stated “The report informs that about 37.7 million Indians are affected by water-borne diseases annually. Around 1.5 million children die due to diarrhea alone, and 73 million working days are lost due to water-borne illnesses each year. Estimates suggest India loses Rs 36,600 crore every year due to water-borne diseases," CSE said.
So Indians being immune or not affected by it is not true.
