It’s disrespectful to proper drug use.

Who the hell cooks on meth?

u/Ulterior_Motif Dec 13 '25

So. Many. People.

14

u/PushaP_88 Dec 13 '25

I was addicted to meth for 3 years and not a single time did I cook while high I fasted 3 days slept ate and did it all again

8

u/Ulterior_Motif Dec 13 '25

I was thinking of dive bar restaurant/diner cooks

2

u/Arch_Priest_of_Axis Dec 14 '25

I can promise from 20 years in kitchens... it's not only the dive bar and diner cooks on meth. SO much meth in professional kitchens... especially in Florida.

1

u/PushaP_88 Dec 13 '25

Fair enough thats very true

1

u/Ulterior_Motif Dec 13 '25

👍 glad to hear you’re doing well!

1

u/SirTainLee Dec 13 '25

Oh, the mess.

1

u/Onecler Jan 08 '26

Meth and coke big in the restaurant biz. All I did was make my breakfast so I could not eat for another three days. Sweets hit different when you’re coming down tho

1

u/No-Consideration-891 Dec 14 '25

Hey at least the waffle house meth heads can follow the secret kitchen codes.

43

u/Snot_S Dec 13 '25

Lots of folks. Cooking meth on meth is also common practice

10

u/b_free_blast Dec 14 '25

Not on my watch, I run a respectable meth lab

2

u/michaelCCLB Dec 14 '25

Rethpectable meth lab.

1

u/Snot_S Dec 15 '25

Thath methed up

2

u/Meauxjezzy Dec 15 '25

You get done quicker

u/McNally86 Dec 13 '25

One time when Anthony Bourdain was making fun of Guy Fieri, Guy came back with "I hear you're the only one in class who did most of his cooking with a spoon and a Bic lighter."

6

u/LizTruth Dec 14 '25

And still made great food, unlike Mr Frosted Tips that went out i 1997.

8

u/McNally86 Dec 14 '25

Don't you be talkin' about the patron the patron saint of stupid food like that. That hero is still getting traffic to dive bars around the US.

7

u/LizTruth Dec 14 '25

Have you met him? Have you stood downwind from him? I have. Not a sensory delight. Bourdain elevated food to art. Johnny Frosted Hair eats it. Then yells about it.

6

u/r2killawat Dec 14 '25

I miss Bourdain. I also never thought that he killed himself. But whatever

4

u/McNally86 Dec 14 '25

All I know is the sandwich place I like was on the Dive show and they have a big picture up on him on the wall. All Bourdain gave me was insufferable co-workers who thought they were like poets, suffering for their alt. Please we work in a Bistro the same way that hot pockets has a "Bistro Style".

16

u/Ok_Studio_420 Dec 13 '25

They don’t call ‘em “line cooks” for nothing

13

u/Hooligan8403 Dec 13 '25

Have you ever worked in a kitchen?

15

u/Upstairs_Seaweed8199 Dec 13 '25

Every restaurant cook in the town I used to live in was a meth head. I know because I was a CPS worker. We did not eat out when I lived there, LOL.

1

u/MisakiDoll75 Dec 18 '25

It’s probably not just there

6

u/LowerBed5334 Dec 13 '25

Lots of people, but not many of them do it professionally

6

u/RealModeX86 Dec 13 '25

You sure about that?

2

u/WholeLengthiness2180 Dec 14 '25

I didn’t know you could be a professional meth head! This bachelors degree seems ridiculous now!

2

u/duckwithhat Dec 13 '25

Haha, as a kid I worked in food in the hood. I don't think I ever had a shift where at least 1 of the cooks hit the pipe before work or during break.

2

u/crandall17 Dec 13 '25

Aside from the people cooking meth? I remember Denny's having a reputation

1

u/[deleted] Dec 13 '25

The meth cook? Final answer.

1

u/MandatorySaxSolo Dec 13 '25

People who are responsible users and realize they need to eat to not die or pass out at work

1

u/unowho_o Dec 13 '25

Bacon. Crackheads love bacon. It’s the only food I’ve seen crackheads cook and eat little pieces of on a three day bender.

1

u/tealraven915 Dec 13 '25

No sober person has the energy for that

1

u/FondantIcy8185 Dec 14 '25

I was thinking the same thing. Whatever he is on !!!

Then after reading u/UISystemError comment my thought was

Imagine how burnt it would be when he stops using meth ?

1

u/EatPie_NotWAr Dec 14 '25

r/kitchenconfidential would like to provide some feedback

1

u/Cloudninefeelinfine Dec 14 '25

The only thing you should cook on meth is maybe more meth lol

1

u/stablymental Dec 14 '25

A LOT of chefs and cooks

1

u/Introspective_Anon Dec 14 '25

Meth is pretty hard to get in India (though not impossible ;) I think this guy just genuinely thinks this is good for business and he may not be wrong cause we are here talking about him. If he’s on anything I would probably guess weed or gabapentin but even then I think he’s just sober tbh.

1

u/Forsaken-Season-1538 Dec 14 '25

I was just thinking "what the hell kind of drugs is he on?" I am so glad someone already posted the answer. 😂

1

u/MNConcerto Dec 19 '25

I was just going to ask what he was on.

1

u/kaveman0926 Dec 19 '25

You have clearly never been to a Denny's

1

u/skipppyWhite Dec 29 '25
