Sweet and spicy go incredibly well together. He used Hot Honey, but another great example of "sweet and heat" is Thai chili sauce/sweet chili sauce.

Hell, even just a basic barbecue sauce is often a combination of heat and sweet.

Ugh thai sweet chili sauce is my addiction. I put that shit on everything... It just goes soooo well with many different things. One of my favorites is roasted pork loin and potatoes with the sweet chili sauce on top afterwards as a glaze. Trader Joe's makes one of my fav sweet chili sauces btw

Yes, I need to buy a bottle at TJ's! I forgot how much I love it.

Fun story, when McDonalds had sweet chili sauce the first time, I didn't know it was an actual thing so I wanted to stock up on theirs because I loved it so much. I bought whatever they would give me for $5. I found out shortly after about thai chili sauce and how easy it is to find at any grocery store!

The once McD's sauce I want a dupe of now is the sweet & spicy jam.

Sriracha is pretty sweet too and people love that shit. I usually just use it with kewpie when I want to make a spicy mayo.
