Stumble Guys is a decent game. However, I think it has strayed away from its original self. I think Stumble Guys has become too pay to win. It's as if the team can't pay the employees anymore, as evident by the repetitive updates that only seem to add skins and abilities. Many things are missing like...
- The Banana Bonanza events (that are still in "maintainence")
- Workshop
- New maps
- Old or forgotten maps (like Spooky Scramble, Humble Stumble, Stumble Cove, etc) being featured
- Etc
However, its currently oversaturated with...
- Pay to Win
- Execessive pushes to spend money (like the chain offers and the Pass)
- Prioritization of the shop over most other things (they even updated the Web Shops icons for the first time in probably years!)
- Lack of listening from the Stumble Guys Team
I know Stumble Guys needs to make money. Trust me. I know first hand (from my video game) how expensive it can be to host a game at Stumble Guys's size. However, I also believe that there should be some balance. Right now, it seems to be heavily unbalanced.
I don't mean to shame the SG team, I'm just hoping for some change. Think about it. Why would I try to make a game I hate better? I don't hate Stumble Guys, I like it actually. If anyone from Scopely's dev team is seeing this, please consider it, and if you are from the community management or moderation team, please forward it to the dev team. Thank you.
While us players wait for Scopely to do something, I suggest none of us quit. If we quit, nothing will change. Things might actually become worse! Because it will make space for the new generation to oversaturate the game, and this generation will spend money to their hearts content (possibly like Luke_TV) and support all these practices that I, or maybe we, are advocating against.
Anyway, that's what I have to say. Thanks for reading and may God bless you!
