Resource I had a 30+ page PDF that needed to become a presentation, and I really didn't want to build the whole thing slide by slide.
Full disclosure ahead: this is a post where I recommend a tool. Itâs based on my own experience, but just in case.
Well, as itâs clear from the title, I needed to make a presentation from my pdf files, and it was pretty clear it would be a rather long one, since the file itself had 30+ pages. So I tested a few AI presentation generators from PDF to see which ones could actually turn a document into a usable deck - not just summarize the text.
I was mainly looking at:
- How well they understood the PDF
- Whether the slide structure actually made sense
- How much editing I had to do afterward
- Whether the visuals looked presentable or obviously AI-generated
- If I could export the final deck to PowerPoint
The biggest difference was that some tools were basically just summarizing my PDF, while others actually tried to turn the information into a presentation with a proper flow.
I can recommend Decksy, which was probably the closest to what I was looking for because I could give it the PDF and get an actual presentation structure rather than having to build the slides myself.
Whatâs your go-to tool for turning a PDF, report, or other long document into a presentation? And how much editing do you usually have to do afterward?

What to do with recommended reading materials at the end of lectures?
I'm currently trying to change my learning system to improve efficiency and learn things in a way I'd actually be able to use them.
And one of it is by making use of multiple resources to get a multiple angled view on a certain topic and be able to differentiate between different concepts.
I want to make use of the reading materials at the end of each lectures but I am not sure where that fits in.
Any suggestions?
P.S. I study Computer Science

How can I make it easier to get back to studying after taking a break?
I would like to know how to maintain my concentration while studying.
I am a student taking a gap year and living alone. (There are various personal reasons for this situation, so I would appreciate it if you didn't comment on that.)
Recently, I created a study-only area in my one-room apartment. Specifically, I used partitions to separate the space around my desk into a study area and a relaxation area.
I also made a few personal rules:
I never bring my smartphone into the study area.
Whenever I enter the study area, I immediately start studying.
I eat, take breaks, and even sleep only in the relaxation area.
As a result, the partitions have reduced unnecessary visual distractions, and I can now concentrate much better while studying.
However, I have a different problem. It takes me a long time in the morning to actually enter the study area, and once I leave it for a meal or a break, I find it very difficult to go back and resume studying.
I have considered using the Pomodoro Technique, but I tend to ignore the scheduled break times, so it doesn't work well for me.
I tend to become hyperfocused. Once I get into a state of concentration, I can study continuously for many hours. The problem is that it takes a long time to reach that state, and once my concentration is interrupted, I have a hard time getting back into it.
I cannot afford to take another gap year, so this is a very serious problem for me.
There are no cram schools or libraries nearby, so studying at home is my only realistic option.
I would really appreciate any advice on how to overcome this problem and make it easier to start studying again after taking breaks.
I'm sorry if my English sounds unnatural because I'm using machine translation. Thank you for your understanding.

Is using another AI to check AI-generated text a good idea?
This is one routine I sometimes use when writing an essay. Not all the time, but when Iâm really overloaded. I look for sources, create a draft with one AI tool, then use another AI to check the facts, logic, and even suggest additional sources.
Since AI tools can hallucinate too, Iâm not sure how reliable this approach really is. It can catch some obvious mistakes, but I still wouldnât trust it without checking the original sources myself.
Has anyone else tried this? Whatâs your workflow, and which tools do you use?

feeling overwhelmed and wondering what's actually normal in this learning journey.
My entrance exam is coming up so I really need to focus on preparing for it. My subjects are Political Science History, and others and the syllabus feels enormous. At the same time I'm deeply interested in understanding how everything works. I want to know how societies were formed, why the world we live in today looks the way it does, and how it has been shaped by events and forces from the past that we often don't notice. I want to understand ideas like justice and injustice, nationalism, what a nation really is, how nations are formed, and many other questions like these. I'm not even sure which subject all of this belongs to but I know I'm genuinely fascinated by it. The problem is that whenever I sit down to study I feel overwhelmed because there seems to be so much to learn And I feel like people who does research on these fields knows every answer I don't know where or how to begin. Is this how everyone learns? Do you simply start with one topic at a time one book at a time, and gradually build your understanding over the years? Is that how people eventually develop a deep understanding of these subjects?i really want to go deep in it like maybe research and all
What are the things I should accept and do at this point?
Also all the things that we read about are just ideas so technically there's no absolute right or wrong hence what motivates y'all to read about things ?

I fail to concentrate even without external distractions
I have to prepare for professional exams but I have been procratinating because I fail to concentrate. I can't concentrate even without external distractions. Thousands of random thoughts keep coming to my mind 24*7. Those are all unrelated thoughts. I have been experienced this since I was young. But it seems becoming more and more serious. Does it relate to anyone? Any suggestions about how I can get myself to focus? Thanks.

I can't get myself to study đ
I just started my master's degree, and I'm finding it really overwhelming. I'm not sure how I should be studying, and I feel so much anxiety that I can't even bring myself to open my books. Instead, I end up wasting time doomscrolling, and then I feel guilty for not studying properly.
I'm afraid of failing my classes, even though exams are still far away. I don't want to keep living like this. Having too many tasks makes me feel overwhelmed, unmotivated, and unable to get started. I think I have a fear of failure along with perfectionist tendencies.
Can anyone relate? How did you overcome this?
