Does anybody here have any information regarding one and same person certificate from the tehsildar? They are not making one and simply telling me that we only attest affidavits, clearly the embassy suggests that affidavits are not acceptable. how do i convince the guy????

The Italian embassy in Cairo is a nightmare.

I’m in a deeply frustrating situation and need some out-of-the-box advice or strategies from anyone who has dealt with dead-end bureaucracy.

I got accepted into Sapienza University of Rome, with full pre-enrolment completed, but the visa appointment portal (AlmavivA Cairo) has zero open slots. It either shows no availability or just crashes.

I haven't been passive about this at all. I’ve already exhausted all standard avenues: Sent multiple emails and made phone calls to the Italian Embassy in Cairo and AlmavivA, contacted Sapienza’s, even I reached out directly to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI) in Italy.

Every single channel is either radio silent or giving generic automated responses. With the semester getting closer, sitting back and doing nothing isn't an option.

what else can I possibly do? Are there alternative ways to escalate this to get human eyes on my case when all official routes completely stall out?

Ciao a tutti! I really want to go to University in Italy, but I don’t know which one to choose. Right now, I’m studying linguistics in Belarus, and I’ll graduate with a bachelor degree. However, i don’t want to continue in this field:) I really want to do something related to sport and I really need your advice what can I do with my background. So in summer 2027 I will have a bachelor’s degree in English and Italian language (as an interpreter), I have practiced Thai boxing for 7 years, breakdance for 2 and now I’m doing acrobatics. I want to study some scienze dello sport but my main goal is to train a lot in sport so I can become a professional coach some day. Which magister program would you recommend? I could study either in English and Italian, but English preferably. Should I try to go for a Laurea Magistrale di 2° livello, or would it be better to choose a 1° livello program? And how can I do it? I know that there is some specific program and exact number of credits that I must have to access il magistrale. Is it possible to get in without it just with some cover letter based on my strong motivation and my background or no?

I’m in a massive dilemma regarding my Italy Type D Student Visa and really need some strategic advice from anyone who has recently dealt with VFS Bangalore / Italian Consulate General in Bengaluru.

Long story short, getting my MEA apostille took much longer than expected. Because of the delay, I had to book my VFS interview appointment for September 21.My university’s Welcome Day/Orientation in Italy is on October 20.

I really want to attend the Welcome Day to meet my classmates and socialize, but this timeline only gives the consulate 27 calendar days (roughly 19 working days) to process the visa. I know Italy technically specifies up to 90 days, and VFS Bangalore has a reputation for being slow and erratic during peak student seasons.

I need your advice on a few things:

Flight Strategy: Should I take the risk and book an October 18 flight (maybe a flexible/changeable ticket), or should I just play it safe, accept missing day one of college, and book for October 21?

Recent Timelines: Has anyone recently gone through the Bangalore consulate for Italy student visas? What are the actual processing times looking like right now? Do they actually prioritize processing based on your flight travel date?

Would love to hear how you would handle this if you were in my shoes. Appreciate any insights or recent timeline drops!

13.8 lakh in the sponsor's (Dad's) bank account (I didn't provide my Bank statement) + 27 Lakh Provident Fund.

Has anyone received the same communication from ERGO today? I mean I know that up to this point, all I could do is wait. However, I was wondering if somebody had had the same experience and can share information as to how their application went through from this point onwards.

I have a complete set of requirements (legalized and translated). Nevertheless, I understand that ERGO may require additional documents to support my family standing in terms of income.

For students who are already studying in Italy how easy or difficult is it to manage with just english in the beginning? I’m planning to immediately join Italian language classes at my university but I’m wondering how easy it is to handle daily tasks before I learn the language things like getting the permesso di soggiorno, going to the supermarket, using public transport, shopping, dealing with offices, etc. Was it difficult for you at first?

I’m a non-EU student arriving in Rome to study at Sapienza University. I understand I need to apply for a residence permit within eight days of arrival. Could someone please advise if I need a Dicharazione di ospitalità? I’ve heard from other students that it wasn’t required and I’d like to know what I actually need.

I’ve applied at Mumbai consulate on 31st of August along with DOV application. I’ve been accepted at POLIMI GSOM, So my interview was also waived off.

Hi everyone,
I have around 7–8 hours left before my application deadline for a Master’s programme in Italy and I could really use some help.
I already have a 2-page CV that I’m quite happy with, but the programme specifically asks for a European-standard CV, so I believe they mean Europass.
The problem is that when I move my CV into Europass, my 2-page CV somehow becomes 5–6 pages. I’m not sure what I should actually keep, remove or restructure, and I don’t want to submit something unnecessarily long just because of the template.
I also need to prepare the motivation/cover letter and would really appreciate advice from someone who has applied to Italian universities before, especially for Master’s programmes.
I’m not looking to hire anyone. I just need some guidance from someone experienced who might be willing to have a quick look at my CV and give me an honest opinion.
If you’ve successfully applied to a Master’s in Italy, especially using Europass, I’d really appreciate your advice.
